Job Duties & Responsibilities
1. To carry out Services sourcing process
? Ensure that sourcing will be executed by following -up Global Metso requirements for goods and supply in terms of quality, price and availability
? Manage the selection of suppliers for named categories
? Manage the creation of appropriate agreements and pricelist with selected vendors
? Ensure communication and implementation the usage of the selected vendors together with operative purchasing
? Follow-up of execution
? Maintain close cooperation with Engineering, Quality, Global Procurement and Sourcing, Markets, Sales and approved Vendors to ensure that opportunities for cost leadership will be implemented
? Actively ensure that favorable price development will continue and Metso will have knowledge of true market price and Metso’s position as a buyer within the market

2. Vendor management
? Follow-up of vendors performance against set targets
? Follow up price and spend for purchased material
? Maintain existing and possible new vendors’ relations
? Vendor training for new processes and tools as required
? Manage corrective action process with vendors

3. To guarantee supply network performance
? Guarantee availability and vendor capacity
? Provide on-going support for existing parts throughout the supply process
? Arrangement needed logistical set-ups for lean logistics flows
? Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to Metso policy

4. Maintenance of purchasing agreements in BAAN and related systems.

5.Maintain change control
? Keep the material information up-to-date
? Review material selection and control key materials and parts for services

6. To assists in new technology and vendor development.
? Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs and act accordingly

7. To maintain and follow assigned KPI’s for purchasing
? Ensure that set targets are met

8. The success in this role will be measured against following KPI’s
? Cost savings
? Volume of Purchases from cost competitive countries (CCC)
? Supplier On-time delivery, availability, quality and lead-time for global categories
? Contracted spend for category


Job Requirement
? Bachelor’s degree, Mechanical engineering preferred.
? A minimum of 5 years of sourcing experience on multi-national company establishing new suppliers for a global supply chain
?
? A Expert in sourcing field
? Good at supplier audit and supplier development skills
? Ability to quickly gain a deep understand of business processes and products
? Good skills in English language, both written and verbal
? Good working knowledge of ERP systems with experience with Baan and Metso reporting tools a plus. Normal windows applications.
? IT; Baan and Metso reporting tools. Normal windows applications. Lotus Notes
? Good communication and relationship management skills
? Ability to travel, (10% at most)
