Job Description Eaton Corporation has an opening of Continuous Improvement Manager located in Shanghai office.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- The incumbent will lead and/or facilitate EBS activities, EBS-PULL, OpA, and LSS projects, deploy ELSS through tactical activities and facilitation of kaizen events in major sites. Develop ELSS deployment procedures and policies, sharing of best practices across the APAC region.
- Support development of site LSS knowledge, coach and grow site talent on Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Drive improvement in site processes and achieve targets on cost saving and other business metrics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support key business segment’s cost effectiveness actions, product cost reduction initiatives and ensure achievement of business benefits determined in each project.
Follow-up the development of process and system to enhance and sustain process reliability
Initiate operating principles that focus on process standardization, visual factory, flow focus, accountability of tier meetings, etc.
Lead or facilitate site Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects, including RIE events and Six Sigma projects.
Analyze and improve manufacturing and business processes using lean methods and tools, real-time problem solving techniques and other statistical and quality improvement tools.
Prepare and conduct LSS related training for sites and develop on-site LSS knowledge and talent.
Mentor and support candidates of Lean Certification and Six Sigma belts throughout the certification process
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Technical
Expert knowledge of lean production system and Six Sigma with the ability to develop programs
Demonstrated hands on experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools and delivered successful projects in an operational environment
Strong experience in operations
Understanding of resource, capacity planning, and MRP system.
Experience of Business Processes improvement in facilitating projects for IT, HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing and other non-manufacturing functions is preferred
Business & Leadership
Effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to lead team sessions and interface with cross functional teams
Change Management skills and experience
Demonstrate leadership skills
Education
Bachelor degree in technical field, industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent in Engineering or science field. Relevant advanced degree preferred
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in industry focus on process improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
