I. POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is located within the Engineering team at AGCO’s Changzhou China facility. This position will support the creation and tracking of both operational and capital budgets of the Engineering Department. Additionally this position will act as an internal project coordinator, reporting monthly project status as well as developing finance reporting systems inside China engineering.


II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
? Preparation and filling of financial templates for Engineering monthly and yearly Operational (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and for 5 years Strategic Business Plans
? Tracking and updating 2+10, 5+7 and 8+4 Forecasts
? Controlling and reporting monthly actual OPEX and CAPEX costs and progress of the engineering projects
? Supporting Senior Engineering Manager to track and control costs according to budget and forecasts
? Developing tracking systems inside AGCO China together with other functions and finance to make access to information easier and more accurate.
? Control the costs and to harmonize general AGCO rules also inside China
? Routinely audit financial data from Finance team to ensure costs are correctly assigned to engineering
? Control costs for new centurion engineering centre (Office/Test/Workshop)
? Manage and control all costs associate with the centurion site with respect to Engineering. Liaise with construction site team and ensure work is accepted prior to payment release. Track all costs.


III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
Candidate must have:

1. Experience and knowledge of forecasting and controlling costs of different projects at the same time
2. Must be able to work with Engineering teams to understand project requirements
3. Must be able to request, understand, interpret and interrogate information from finance
4. Able to document and present information in a clear and orderly manner to engineering teams


IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
Candidate must have experience in an engineering office or manufacturing environment. Experience in agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or automotive/ truck industries preferred.


V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
This position has no direct-line reports, however the candidate will interact and influence many functional areas including engineering, finance and purchasing. Good communications skills are required.


VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:
Candidate will be required to make proposals based on budget numbers but final economical decisions are made always by managers of the engineering.


VII. NATURE OF IMPACT
This position will champion a target-cost culture at the site.


VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:
The primary impact of this position is to provide a service to the Engineering and Finance organizations within AGCO. The overall intent is to drive a cultural shift, where cost drivers are understood.


IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
The job holder must be capable of direct (face to face) and indirect (Email, telephone etc…) communication with personnel within and outside of the company at all levels from shop floor staff to senior management. The job holder must be capable of expressing ideas, solutions and processes in English in spoken and written form. The job holder must be capable of working in and with different cultures and able to adapt easily. They must also be capable to manage team meetings and steer the team towards meaningful outcomes.


X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

? Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Finance with preferable knowledge of engineering systems and methods
? Advanced Education degree preferred
? Basic computer programming skills including Excel, Access, PowerPoint
? Strong understanding of project costing
? Experience of working in overseas locations is preferred
? Strong Ability to communicate in English – Written and spoken
? Effective personal time management skills
