职位描述
I. POSITION PURPOSE
? Implement, advance and manage the AGCO Production System (APS) in the operation applying Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office methods both on the shop floor and in the office
? Contribute to the alignment of the manufacturing systems within the AGCO group and the incorporation of the Lean philosophy as an integral component of the corporate culture.
? Support the high-level strategies of the business unit through the deployment of plans and goals to achieve higher levels of organizational excellence by implementing continuous improvement practices.
II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND KEY MEASUREMENT
? Implement, advance and manage the manufacturing system according to AGCO-specific Lean Manufacturing methods
? Coordinate defining manufacturing process standards
? Coordinate defining process standards through other support functions (Best practices, process standards, deleting non-value added tasks)
? Increasing efficiency and reduce cost through optimized flow layouts, processes, methods, material utilization and standards
? Driving both the manufacturing operation and the enterprise towards ‘Best in Class’ performance
? Coordinate projects to achieve Drive APS goal (ROIC) and 3+3 Efficiency goal
? Improvement of the manufacturing & Transactional processes (implementation of MFG and other Functional Lean Office KPIs and improvement in those KPIs)
? Successful introduction of Lean Manufacturing and incorporation of the Lean philosophy as an integral component of the corporate culture through Shop Floor Management (SFM), LDMS & LWMS, improvement of mindset and qualification of employees, (coaching)
? APS Implementation Plan, schedule and milestones
? Financial measurements of efficiency and ROIC improvement.
III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE
? Detailed knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (Lean Production, Lean Office, 6 sigma, Process Improvement, Ideas program) and the manufacturing systems within AGCO, within the industry and across industries
? Very good knowledge of project management methods and leading teams
? Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly and machining), material logistics, manufacturing engineering and quality as well as good understanding of the interface with other support function processes
? Strong ability to impart knowledge; strong communication skills and persuasiveness. Ability to make drive change, to convince employees and to successfully implement projects
? Strong skill level in financial analysis
IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE
? Systemic vision of the business to be able to coordinate cross functional projects for process improvement
? Very good knowledge of manufacturing in the automotive / vehicle construction industry or off-road sector, also within the AGCO group. Several years of successful leadership of at least one of the following functions: manufacturing, material logistics, manufacturing / process engineering or quality.
? Knowledge of the operational processes, in particular of the entire manufacturing process, the material logistics process and the quality function. Knowledge of support functions, department and business processes to identify key people and stakeholders to involve them in improvement projects
? Knowledge of operational cost structures, production controlling and product cost is required
V. LEADERSHIP / PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
? The APS Manager has supervisory and managerial responsibility for a group of professional experts on APS (“APS subject matter expert - SME”) with strong knowledge and experience having a university degree in related areas (such as controlling, industrial engineering, manufacturing / process engineering).
? The APS Manager is responsible for managing and advancing the manufacturing and support function processes.
? Leading and coordinating employees with special emphasis on conflict management, assertiveness and change management. Ability to identify people's strengths and improve weaknesses in order to get the best performance of individuals and excellent team results
? Setting up and coordinating project teams consisting of employees from multiples levels - managers, directors and VPs.
? Promotion of team spirit and lean mindset development while providing coaching to various levels of employees
? Communicating and presenting APS status updates to Senior Staff within AGCO and externally to various industry associations

? The APS Manager must be able to manage a high degree of complex and continuously changing information and situations.
? The APS Manager must be very well organized, disciplined and thorough in his or her work.
? Tasks need to be prioritized and scheduled, good time management and proactive work flow planning are essential.
? Building a consensus and obtaining buy-in from key stakeholders is essential for achieving the APS objectives.
? The APS Manager must be capable of analyzing problems and of developing, communicating and implementing solutions.
? Strong analytical skills, cross functional experience, good judgment and very good business knowledge (e.g. cost-benefit analysis) are required.
VII. NATURE OF IMPACT
? By increasing operational efficiency and eliminating non-value-adding activities, the APS Manager makes a significant contribution to the improvement of the manufacturing and support functions key performance indicators (labor efficiency, equipment throughput, safety and material costs) and thus the key performance indicators of the company including key financial indicators (ROIC).
? The APS Manager is responsible for supporting the definition of key objectives and for meeting these objectives.
VIII. AREA OF IMPACT
? This position has a strong impact on the overall site performance and supports achievement of the Regional and Global performance of AGCO.
? The APS Manager is responsible for ensuring an advanced manufacturing system is successfully operating in the site, and within the AGCO group through cross-site projects within his or her area of responsibility.
IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
? The APS Manager must have very good interpersonal skills, be able to delegate and work under pressure, have the ability to negotiate, and be able to prioritize and manage a large volume of information efficiently, effectively and accurately.
? The APS Manager must employ standard project management methods and retain a calm and professional manner in communication and problem solving.
? The APS Manager must be able to collaborate closely with other functions and convince others without having disciplinary authority to instruct.
? The APS Manager must be a good listener and communicator and be able to listen to other's opinions and convey key points to a group. Must be able to give and receive constructive criticism.
? The APS Manager must collaborate closely with all global APS managers and the Director, Global APS (based in Duluth, functional relationship). The APS Manager must be able to integrate best practices convincingly as a fixed standard component of the Global APS and also integrate global APS standards in their respective site. This will require negotiation skills, persuasiveness, cultural empathy and language skills.
? APS Manager will be managing a group of experts / (university degree in different areas mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or others)
X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
? University degree (mechanical engineering, vehicle construction and/or industrial business administration)
? Expert knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office techniques and methods
? Comprehensive international experience in implementing and/or optimizing manufacturing systems and processes in an automotive / vehicle construction environment
? Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
? Strong concept development skills, very good implementation focus and expertise in methods as well as comprehensive analytical skills
? Strong leadership skills
