POSITION: Deputy General Manager
COMPANY: USA Based Mechanical Manufacturer
Location: Zhe Jiang
The purpose of this newly created role is to closer integrate the operational activities between the China and the US while also managing / positioning the China operations for accelerated growth. The qualified candidate should have solid management experience by having worked with Western small to mid-sized engineering driven manufacturing organizations. He/she will initially oversee the production and quality department and must have the potential to progressively assume additional department responsibilities within a 12-24 month period.
Job description:
1. Technical background, preference for mechanical engineering or industrial engineering experience, and 4-year technical degree. MBA a plus.
2. At least 10 years of manufacturing experience with at least 4 years of management experience with good understanding of operations and plant management. Electric Motor industry experiences a plus.
3. Basic working knowledge of QC and quality standards such as ISO-9000, and TS-16949.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of and demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement principles. Lean and Six Sigma preferred.
5. Working experience with Western companies as well as Chinese plants.
6. Good understanding of accounting and finance. China GAAP preferred.
7. A proactive manager with leadership and career potential who shows a strong desire to improve company operations and has strong people skills to manage a growing team.
8. Strong sense of accountability and willingness to learn, honesty and integrity.
9. Commercial and/or customer experience a strong plus.
10. Native Mandarin speaker with excellent English communication skills – both verbal and written.

Must haves:
o Willing to work 6 days per week
o Technical background with quality understanding/mentality
o Live locally during work week

o Culture / people management
