Job DescriptionEaton Hydraulics Group Filtration Division has an opening for Regional Segment Sales Manager based in Shanghai, China.
This position is responsible for directing the sales team to work with existing and potential customers in target segment to clearly define their technical, quality, delivery and financial expectations, and forcefully communicate these through the organization in order to achieve customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain an effective service and distribution system to serve customers. Develops the China market to achieve sales goals and market share plans on a profitable basis within target segment in relevant industry.
Its essential functions including:
- With rich sales experience and knowledge in water / marine / desal / waste
water/chemicals/power/ F&B / Biophama industries with relevant product knowledge of filtration/pump/ valve /membrane to achieve yearly sales target and long term market penetration in above target segments
- Has strong relationship and experience on working with EPC firm for big projects involvement and delivering by different segments and matrix products to realize sales
- Familiar on developing effective sales channel distributors/direct selling/ EPC etc.in target segment and products to make sure stable and continuous sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the total market, focusing on systems solution and engineered solutions in line with the segment strategies, working closely with Technical staff to deliver new POB opportunities on a regular basis
- To oversee the development and progress of base Sales force likely managing a team of 5-8 sales in a region or at a country level and ensure joint visits are conducted regularly and to be actively involved in major opportunities and projects, and to assist with product & pricing strategies. Conduct performance appraisals and set specific objectives in line with segment strategies and employee development requirements. Review, report and update on a regular basis.
- Provide update information on sales, sales forecasts, customer activity and visits, sales activity including progress on projects, target accounts, major and new opportunities, and any specific promotional or marketing activity.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)- At least 5+ years’ experience in sales of Filtration/pump/valve/membrane products
- Excellent Chinese communication and negotiation skills.
- Good English and PC skills
- Willing to travel extensively
- Effective cross functional interaction with all internal area, especially engineering and manufacturing
- Contacts customers, to resolve technical product application malfunctions to determine if problem was caused by our products, misapplication by the customer, or components supplied by others.
- Development of new business by application of standard product line or redesign units to meet customer technical requirements.
- Gathering, evaluating, and forecasting of filtration marketing data for Eaton and competitor products.
