I. POSITION PURPOSE:
Technician will work in engine testing area. Job includes daily tasks in engine hot testing e.g.

- engine preparation for testing (rigging)
- testing execution (AVL Puma system)
- failure diagnostics
- repair work of engines
- training of testing operators


Location: Changzhou, China



II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:
· Testing System Daily maintenance
· System downtime per shift

· Testing Efficiency
· Engines (pcs) /shift

· Engine Failure Diagnostics / Problem solving
· Repair work, output per shift

· Safety
· Personal Injuries

· Follow working instructions
· Engine damages


III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

The role of Technician (engine testing) requires the following knowledge:

- Diesel engine knowledge in mechanical and electronic engines
- Engine hot-testing & diagnostics (AVL Puma or similar)
- System understanding (different PC software)
- Able to work according to instructions (technical and safety)

IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing business, especially in mechanical assembly related area


V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
- Good cooperation skills
- Good communication skills
- Training skills


VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:

- Excellent problem solving skills (engine failure diagnostics)
- Able to analyze results and make fact-based decisions (fix small failures in testing, move engines to repair in case of bigger problem).
- Able to communicate findings to other colleagues (testing, assembly)

- Key role to achieve manufacturing performance and assure the high quality of products

X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

Qualifications:
- Technical Secondary School or above
- Minimum 3 years experience in diesel engine testing (tractors, off-road applications)

Languages:
- China (fluent written and spoken)
- English (basics, written) - able to work with English software
