This is a Site HSE Manager role reporting to Plant Manager in Business Area – Electrification, located in Shanghai, China which provides defined services to the internal customers with best quality in the most efficient way.

- Taking overall HSE management and responsibility for ELPC Shanghai plant, driving ABB ELPC HSE initiatives and values.
- Demonstrating strong leadership as a member of site management team, implementing and executing ABB HSE programs to attain full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of existing and proposed country and local regulations.
- Working closely with Operations Teams to ensure effective implementation of HSE Management System by using Health & Safety and Environmental scorecard, driving HSE compliance through audits, process/equipment review, management of change program and proactive risk reduction projects.
- Leveraging regional expertise and best practices from other ABB sites, planning and leading HSE training program for site all employees.
- Performing site audits and leading efforts with management teams to assign and implement corrective actions, conducting incident/accident investigations and developing corrective & preventative action plans.
- Maintaining HSE expertise to provide technical & regulatory support to Operations teams, coordinating HSE efforts, including contractor qualification and oversight among external ABB and non-ABB contractors who come to site.
- Leading efforts to maintain manufacturing site ISO 14001 certification, Work Safety Standardization certification.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Health and Safety or related technical degree.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related EHS experience in industry or manufacturing.
- Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software programs, i.e., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and able to navigate internet and intranet tools.
- Experience with Regulatory Agency interaction preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated influencing skills in a team environment workforce.
- Comprehensive knowledge of China regulations.
- Ability to work with site management team and with all levels of management.
