职位描述

I. POSITION PURPOSE:
The Program Manager is responsible for the operative management of all product related management issues from the initial phase (generating the NPS) until the production phase out of this product.
The Program Manager coordinates all related functions. He is responsible for:
- NPS
- Budget
- Timeline
- Managing resources
- Performing product related meetings
- Documentation of the progress
- Coordination between related departments
- Quality monitoring
- Product improvements after the SOP
- MIP
He is also responsible, that the program is represented according to AMPIP demands.
This position requires an enthusiastic approach to co-ordinate multi-functional project teams, and to ensure deliverables are complete according to agreed metrics for quality, financials and timing.

The person filling this position is expected to motivate and assist other members of his/her project team(s) on following the Company new product introduction procedure, directives and requirements, to report status of the assigned projects to Exec. General Manager and to consolidate any project documentation required for Gate Reviews and Operational Product Committee meetings.


II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:

? New product introduction project deliverables ? Coordinate timely deliver with agreed quality and financial metrics
? Financial responsibilities as defined in Company policies ? Accountable for capital expenditure requests and business case definition and communication to project teams and management.
? New product introduction procedure implementation ? Project reviews organized, communicated and conducted using pre-established templates & tools;
? Gate Reviews approved in accordance to project commitments.
? Project reporting during Operative Product Committees (OPC) ? Prepare project status documentation for each OPC and present summary during meetings whenever required
? People management and development ? Motivate and assist other project team members on learning and applying Company's new product introduction processes and tools
? Responsibility for the whole life of his program ? Continously chase the optimization of his program


III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

? Marketing, Engineering, Product Support or Product Management degree and experience in the area would be appreciated.
? Result-oriented project approach with quality and customer focus, project management and standards & procedures usage is essential knowledge to perform this job.
? Knowledge and Experience in Best Practice Processes / Organization / Systems from different companies and industries.

IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:

? Good overall level of understanding of New Product Development / Introduction (NPI) procedures and tools.
? Basic understanding of Company's NPI procedure, known as AMPIP is appreciated.
? Understanding of the roles & responsibilities of a cross-functional team involved in any NPI project.
? Has to have excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
? Flexible, team player with good attention to detail and time management
? Self starter mentality and flexible in handling change
? Very good working knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint is required
? Good working knowledge in Project Management tools like MS Project. Any additional knowledge of AGCO PMA tool would be appreciated.

V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

? The Program Manager is responsible for driving the multi-functional team on achieving their committed targets for a given project.
? He/she has no direct/hierarchical reports, but by being responsible for the overall commitments and results of the project, can assign tasks or deliverables to other project team members from different Functions with varied levels of responsibilities/grades and track its completion.
? As a general rule, the PM will be responsible for one or more project teams composed by functionally assigned members coming from Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Product Support and Parts organizations.


VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:

? Program Managers face problems with every project. By building problem-solving into your project and problem collaboration into your project team you will ensure that problems are dealt with promptly. You will also establish a track record of being able to identify and deal with problems.
? The Program Manager goal is to identify problems early before they have an impact on the product. It is far easier to deal with a problem before it becomes a crisis. When a product is delivered with a hidden problem it exposes the company to risks. Every effort should be taken to find problems early in the project stage. Using structured problem-solving techniques and developing an open approach to problems with team members will help expose them early.

VII. NATURE OF IMPACT

? The Program Manager is empowered by the Operative Product Committee and Product Management Manager, Exec. General Manager to whom he/she directly reports, to drive the project team on achieving committed results regarding time-to-market, quality, costs and margin for every assigned NPI project.

VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:

? This job impacts both internal and external environments once it will consist on maintaining contact and negotiate deliverables and timing with company functions representatives, and sometimes requiring exposure to dealers and end-costumers of our products.
? The geographical area of impact is mainly driven by Regional manufacturing/engineering location, but can assume bigger importance if the product is shipped and sold across Regions.

IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

? Strong level of communication is required: both interpersonal and intercultural. Program Manager have to deal with a wide range of people, such as project sponsors, suppliers, experienced professionals and novice administrative support staff. Often, for each of those people, the program manager is just one of a number of competing pressures, with very little actual power or authority. Therefore, good interpersonal skills are needed to win cooperation and involvement.
? Multicultural experience is preferred
? Takes initiative and can drive business decisions

X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:
? University degree required
? Very good knowledge of project management and related experience
? Cost and quality awareness, responsibility, willingness and ability to make decisions, organizational and management skills, above-average commitment, quick grasp of company structures and operational processes, knowledge in electronic data processing and PC, basic CAD skills
? Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
? Good market and agricultural knowledge

Languages: Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Any additional languages would be an advantage.
