职位描述
I. POSITION PURPOSE:
Based in Changzhou, this position is responsible for providing management accounting/ reporting and business support for Manufacturing/ Quality at Changzhou Interim and Changzhou Greenfield Site. The person will also co-ordinate with manufacturing controllers in other sites (e.g. Yanzhou)
The role is also a key member of the Changzhou manufacturing team and will participate in relevant meetings and interact with key decision makers in manufacturing.
Responsibility is to ensure that key operational business decisions are based on appropriate financial review and control. This will include active involvement across the broad scope of business decisions and processes affecting the site:
- Providing daily support to the plant management team including active involvement and supervision over the financial aspects.
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and latest looks (considering and challenging key drivers affecting the financial performance of the sales and production volumes, inventory, cost management, logistic cost issues);
- Actuals accounting, including review and interpretation of actual results, and identifying areas for action and improvement;
- Preparation of the casual analysis for actual, budget and forecasts;
- All financial aspects of factory cost management and control for the Manufacturing area
- Preparation and presentation of the monthly manufacturing pack (according to global requirements)
- Any ad hoc project which require finance involvement
- Support in definition of KPI's across manufacturing sites in China
Location: Changzhou, China
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:
· Part of the factory management team to ensure the most effective business support is given and that processes are in place which are efficient and meet operational objectives
· Provide support to the decision-making process by the plant manager
· Oversee the preparation, review and submission of site budgets (annually), forecasts (quarterly) and latest look updates (monthly for the current quarter).
· Includes managing preparation, critical review and presentation to management team
· This involves reviewing and challenging key drivers (such as sales and production volumes, inventory, factory costs, etc),
· Quality review and understanding and appropriate accuracy of the budget, forecast and latest look projections.
· Provide appropriate business-based financial support to the actuals reporting process. This will include accounting for correct bookings based on business events, managing the review and interpretation of actual results, and subsequent review with the Finance department, management team with identification of areas for action and improvement.
· Monthly manufacturing report
· Monthly review and communication process with the Manufacturing Director and management team.
II. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
This role will require excellent knowledge and application of a wide range of management accounting techniques, and in particular experience with standard costing techniques in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent working knowledge of investment appraisal techniques such as NPV, IRR, payback.
A good working knowledge of financial accounting and US GAAP principles in particular is required, along with an appreciation of local accounting rules.
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills, Powerpoint, Word and other systems knowledge.
Expert knowledge in SAP system is strongly required.
Appreciation of the workings of modern integrated finance and business systems is highly desirable.
Experience of a broad range of Finance processes such as actuals closing, budgeting and forecasting, and cash management are considered a pre-requisite.
Experience of multi-site International Finance operations (with complex multi legal entity and multi currency matrix reporting).
III. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
Knowledge of the agricultural business is desirable.
An appreciation of the workings of a large organization operating in a multi-site multi-region context and operating within a matrix organization structure is required.
Experience of manufacturing operations is required.
Experience of working in a constantly changing organization with a continuous improvement philosophy.
IV. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
The person will lead by example in areas such as integrity, accountability, encouraging team play and transparency.
The person will have a hands-on approach, encouraging a "can-do" attitude focused on achieving results.
An effective communication style is critical (with frequent liaison with different countries and cultures).
V. PROBLEM SOLVING:
This role will need to navigate effectively across different functions and areas,
Excellent numeracy skills.
Various management accounting, financial accounting and investment appraisal techniques will be needed to find solutions.
The role needs to be results oriented, and to encourage the team to be similarly results oriented.

This role can make a significant multi-million dollar impact to profitability and cash flow by appropriately local leaders in a wide variety of decisions, from strategic projects to effective operational running of the business.

- cost reduction by focusing management attention to address areas of inefficiency;
- profit increase by ensuring unprofitable product lines and markets are identified;
- cost reduction and improved working capital management by guiding appropriate factory build programs and integrates SOP process;
VIII. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Effective spoken and written communication skills are required, across different countries and cultures, and across different functions and management levels.
IX. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications:
College education, International assignments.
MBA in Finance or/and International Business a plus; Accounting qualification
Experience of over 5 years should demonstrate career progression which will include holding a range of senior finance management roles (preferably with a multi-site, multi-currency organization with US GAAP reporting requirements).
Clear demonstration of interest and influence over wider business decisions is necessary, including significant contributions to major projects.
Working knowledge of standard costing and manufacturing accounting techniques in a large manufacturing organization must be demonstrated.
Languages:
English, Chinese would be a significant advantage
