I. POSITION PURPOSE:
Purpose of this position is to work in engines applications development, for intercompany and OEM customers.

The key areas of responsibility in this role are:



Work as a contact point to the OEM and intercompany customers
Communicate with potential customers to discuss specifications, requirements making viability analysis
Make a link with AGCO Power Finland in order to get required technical information, update technical documents like BOM, drawings and specifications
Develop specifications for new engine applications
Follow performance tests of applied engines at customer machines checking and proposing required changes to improve performance, durability, serviceability and maintenance
Make 3D analysis utilizing CAD/ProE SW, checking critical and collision points in order to evaluate the new applications possibilities and limitations as well as requirements.
Coordinate prototype engine assembly and pre-serial engines also working together production to meet customers specifications and requirements
Follow prototype, pre-serial and first serial production of equipments at customer plant to follow new applications
Design and develop necessary components for engine application if required
Follow-up and update engine components design and specifications according ECM process

II. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
Describe the level of knowledge of function work and activities required to fulfill the role. Is the role task driven/ procedural or is there a requirement to consider the application of principles and/or theory and practice?



Application Engineer will have a responsibility for technical requirement analysis for engine application



- Good engine knowledge

- Good understanding of engine performance evaluation and link with final application machines.

- Conduct validation tests at customer site, proposing necessary change to attend applications specification

- Engine emission requirements and different devices for emission level improvements, as well as emission standards

- Good knowledge about different fuel injection system

- Good skills to work with CAD/CATIA/ProE

- Prototypes development, assembly process and testing requirements

- Support production for pre-serial assembly

- Application validation at customer machines

- Project management

IX. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

- Mechanical or Mechatronic engineer

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years experience in diesel engine application engineer

- Experience in Emission is advantage

- Agricultural tractors and combines - are a advantage

- Engine performance evaluation - equipments and results analysis

Languages:

- Mandarin

- English (excellent written and excellent spoken)

- Other languages are of good advantage
