POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Manager
REPORTS TO: Manager, Logistic & Supply Chain China
LOCATION: Changzhou, China


I. POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for overall management of warehouse and packing, which include optimize the logistic process, organize the physical warehouse management, maintain the inventory level based in lean concept, people management and data management. With the development of Centurion project, support the new facility warehouse management also.




II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:

? Develops and manages an effective work flow with warehouse and logistics ? Monthly performance and cost control
? Manage packing of product for goods inbound and outbound ?
? Implement lean manufacturing method in warehouse ? Super market, kitting system, 5S
? Maintain the reasonable inventory level ? Safety inventory index
? SAP data and material data management ? Data accuracy
? Co-ordinate with the shipping manager the organisation of inbound and outbound transport to meet both service and cost targets. ? On-time receipts and dispatches from the warehouse in line KPI's and within budget.
? Generate production document between manufacturing and purchasing ?
? Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports for warehouse operations and transportation ? Documentation forwarded to Manager Operations EAME / EEA indicating performance against agreed targets.
? Responsible for the creation clean, tidy, safe and healthy working environment. ? Accident / safety record and warehouse quality performance.
? Responsible for the recruitment, development and training of his team within agreed headcount and budget-targets. ? Internal appraisals, skills matrix and training plans.
? Responsible for the inventory accuracy ? Physical and system inventory numbers match. Bin denial targets achieved.
? Effectively manage change in line with operational and strategic objectives with an emphasis on creating a lean warehouse operation with sustainable quality improvements. ? Achieve the implementation on agreed change projects in line with sound project management principles.

IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:

? Specific knowledge is required of all warehouse processes, in particular for the receiving process and the order process for Stock, Service, Emergency orders, Products storing, Delivery, Information management and inventory controlling
? High-level of comfort in working with numbers and spreadsheets
? Requires an overall understanding of the agricultural industry or related machinery industry
? Requires an overall understanding of packaging management



V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
? Manager whole warehouse team composed by Warehouse Supervisor, Data Administrator, Warehouse keeper, Forklift Driver and Packaging team;
? Full HR responsibility for recruitment, training, assessment, appraisals, absence management and discipline.
? The compensation package for employees includes and incentive scheme based on the achievement of negotiated targets.
? The workforce has to be managed in line with procedure, legislative requirements in China and in line with AGCO's employment policy and core values.

? Any decline in performance standards related to productivity and efficiency will significantly increase manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

? Capability to manage supervisory, professional and hourly employees in a unionized environment.
? Competency to manage multicultural relationships with depots in Europe, Turkey, Russia and South Africa
? Solution focused responsiveness with dealers, transport providers and suppliers as well as other internal functions.
? Communication skills are required for effective relationship and team building.
? Negotiation skills are required when dealing with trade unions, suppliers, external packagers and transport providers.
? Competency to lead change projects through the use of sound project management techniques as major requirement

X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? 5 years of warehouse operations / management experience with 3 years experience of people management in agriculture or related qualification in automotive industry
? Academic qualifications such as Bachelor/Master of logistics desired, however the position requires the following skills and abilities.
? Chinese (native speaker) + English (read)
? Effective leadership skills
? Certificates such as Kaizen, 6s, etc.
? Knowledge of budgeting and associated numeric skills.
? Effective organising and planning.
