Principal Duties:

? Manage the Asia supply chain for a significant chemical manufacturer (currently includes Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Mainland China).
? Assist in developing and operating a world class global supply chain management system managing chemical and gas logistics from point of manufacture to point of use.
? Analyze monthly performance metrics and implement programs to improve such metrics.
? Effectively manage third party logistics providers
? Assist in preparing routine reports of logistics performance
? Present routine operations updates to key customer personnel
? Coordinate efforts with US counterpart and with US and Asia-based teams
? Direct efforts of Asia team members to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency
? Contribute to the company's financial health by maximizing customer satisfaction as evidenced through scorecard evaluations
? Assist in creating operational budgets and report on financial performance

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
? Excellent customer service skills.
? Must be articulate and experienced in developing and delivering presentations
? Must be extremely computer proficient.
? Experience dealing with hazardous material and/or import/export is a benefit.
? Must be able to successfully complete training related to transportation of hazardous materials, including courses in IMDG, DOT, and IATA.
? Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.
? Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
? Ability to travel internationally. Primary destinations would include Korea, Japan, Singapore, and USA.
? Must be able to successfully pass employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
