职位描述
Reports to : VP, Technology
Location:Shanghai, China
Key Responsibilities
1. Structure and implement an overall intellectual property (IP) strategy.
2. Manage the company's existing IP portfolio.
3. Maintain up to date understanding of R&D team research progress and any patentable developments or new ideas, coordinate to ensure that inventions are captured, properly documented, prioritized and filed, and contribute input to the R&D team's research planning from an IP generation perspective.
4. Engage in both drafting patents directly and liaising with several external IP law firms the company is working with.
5. Thoroughly review relevant patent literature, primarily US and EU.
Qualifications:
1. Strong technical background in Chemistry and Biology
2. Familiarity with US IP law, preferably with some litigation experience
3. Strong English skills--i.e. ability to read and understand hundreds of pages of patent literature, or to articulately draft dozens of pages of same, on a daily basis
4. Solid Mandarin Chinese communication skills
