In accordance with company’s policy and ABB business line requirement, Key account Service site manager plays a pivotal role in providing rapid response and support to Customer in resolving their issues and improving process efficiency by coordinating between End Customer/Customer representatives and project team/vendors while profitably achieving qualitative and quantitative targets for the service products and solutions. He shall analyze the service potential with full focus on install base penetration and ensuring Customer relationship management acting as a communication channel on behalf of ABB.
As a Key account Service Site Manager, he is responsible for P&L related to project services and help optimize the utilization of service resources. He will also coordinate with Sales and Project operations closely to resolve technical and execution related issues for installed base as well as ongoing Installation & Commissioning support services. In this role he also plays a key role in developing new opportunities for extending services for the Business line, introducing new tools and service products to Customer from time to time.
- Establishing long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products and ensuring customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded by team.
- Creating, planning and implementing service sales strategy by increasing the installed base (IB) penetration and effectively utilizing available resources and tools, promoting value add service product offerings supporting Life Cycle Management (LCM), achieving service sales volume by ensuring the team sells entire service portfolio, participating in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume.
- Generating and identifying service sales leads by analyzing the IB potential and targeting those new IB opportunities from emerging trends with the service solutions available, determining account and acquisition plans to support growth and working together with project manager and engineering teams to follow up ABB equipment status and keep good communication with customers.
- Establishing long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products. Ensuring customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded by team.
- Supporting the team by participating in sales activities when needed, taking feedback on sales development and distribution of resources for service sales activities, collaborating with Business Units and accounts teams to position different service offerings, evaluating and sharing relevant information on installed base data, sales leads, customers and competitors’ solutions and marketing trends with the team.
- Monitoring financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels and driving sales efficiency by ensuring adequate selling skills for team members and that the area of responsibility is properly organized and staffed. Coaching the team in formulating sales plans, in negotiating, and in developing customer segment expertise. Actively demonstrating one ABB approach and guiding direct and indirect subordinates.

- Must have bachelor’s degree in engineering on mechanical or equivalent background.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in handling overseas project in leading role, preferably mining projects/Electrification projects of large and medium size, with Mining and hoist system equipment experience is a plus and 12 to 15 years of experience in International projects with direct interaction with Customer.
- Fluency in English language (written and spoken).
- Adapt to overseas traveling and field service work environment. Especially 'on-call' work may be required if necessary.
- Skills like managing time well, working well in a team environment, logical problem solver, communication effectively and high sense of responsibility, strong hands-on problem-solving ability required.
- Should be able to work under pressure, must have integrity, respect, teamwork & collaboration, customer/service oriented, strong service and market business sense and ability to influence others.
