As an R&D Intern, you will be part of the Country Staff Research & Development Business based in Beijing.

- Investigation of digitalization of materials and manufacturing, synergy with ABB strategy of leadership in digital industries.
- Perform applied research and technology development for ABB electrification and automation products and services, among research fields of sensor integration and sensing materials, non-destructive diagnosis, smart manufacturing, AI and embedded hardware, IIoT, etc.
- Work in R&D multidisciplinary project teams on novel ideas generation and electrification and industrial technology and product development.
- Drive research activities, generate intellectual property, and write scientific publications.
- Evaluate new technologies and conduct technical surveys, collaborate with researchers and business engineers as well as from universities, business partners, startups, etc.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- PhD or Master or Undergraduate Students.
- Good understanding and strong interest in new technologies and fast learning capabilities.
- Understanding of machine learning and AI hardware and with applied experiences are preferred.
- Talent to communicate in a multidisciplinary, international environment and potential leadership skills.
- Fluency in English.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
