Responsibilities:
Performance Management:
- Set goals for the process, aligning operational process team goals and performance
measures with the strategic goals and measures of the ISSC Suzhou, ensuring
consistency across the processes
- Performance Measurement
- develop, monitor and evaluate appropriate performance measures for the process
team
- manage the performance review process, where actual performance is measured
against KPI's, in coordination with other Process Leaders
- Ensure process is performed efficiently and effectively
- meet performance goals (as monitored against performance measures)
- Ensure efficient and effective resource utilisation
- appropriate level of resource
- resource focused on value adding activity
- teams use common technology effectively and efficiently
- ensure cross process efficiency & effectiveness
- ensure economies of scale opportunities are exploited
- monitor and evaluate world class best practice developments
Compliance:
- ensuring appropriateness of internal controls built into the process as standard
procedures
- Monitor adherence to internal controls & SOX. Initiate operational audits/reviews
- Set operational objectives which reflect quality targets: integrity of accounts and
data; complete, accurate and timely information
Implement strategic improvement initiatives within the process:
- lead or sponsor projects (BPI's), cascading responsibility to team members develop
agenda for continuous improvement once vision fully operational
l Relationship Building:
- Develop relationships with key internal customers, partners within the process and
with other functions and shared service centres
- Support plant finance
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Manage customer requirements and expectations
- Maintain Service Level Agreements
- Monitor success in providing defined services and achieving customer satisfaction
- Ensure appropriateness of the measures, redefining Service Level Agreements as
appropriate
- Key liaison with external parties at a strategic and operational level
Employee Involvement and Development:
- Provide environment for personal and professional development
- Identify training and development requirements
- Provide monthly 'One to One' feedback reviews with staff
- Develop and facilitate effective teams
Establish all GL only implementations
Cost & Performance Management:
- Annual target setting and delivery against KPI's (Metrics)
- On time/on budget delivery of strategy
- Review actual team performance against targets (metrics) monthly (minimum)
- Comparison of actual performance to terms of Service Level Agreement
- Manage own profit/ cost centre and advise early of cost over or under runs
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts and information produced in ISSC
Suzhou
- Charge out rate reduction year over year
Requirements:
1. Professional qualification in financial accounting; 7-10 years of (international)
experience in finance/ accounting and auditing within a multinational (manufacturing)
company
2. Experience and best practice implementation in accounting & reporting within an
international (manufacturing) environments
3. Ability to operate at a senior level in collaboration with diverse internal and external
executives; used to operate and influence effectively in a matrixed international
organization
4. Knowledge of data processing in respect of financial systems, particularly Oracle
5. Proven leadership skills; drive strategic change and build organizational capability
6. Demonstrable skill in strategic/vision planning and development of business-critical
function
7. Excellent working knowledge of the English language
8. Excellent communication, presentation, training, coaching & mentoring skills
9. Demonstrable continued personal development both technical and behavioral
10. Strong cross/multi-cultural background and experience; sensitive to cultural
differences
11. Excellent knowledge of North Asia (and preferably China) statutory reporting
requirements
12. Solid understanding and experience with US GAAP; exposure to Sarbanes Oxley
