PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for managing the plant Manufacturing Engineering to design, develop, evaluate, improve and standardize manufacturing processes and systems, to maximize efficiency and meet customer and organizational expectations.

Act as business partner in formulating and pursuing the strategic goals for the business and engineering team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A.Design, develop, evaluate, improve and standardize manufacturing processes and systems.

B.Develop matrix to monitor process performance. Constantly monitor existing processes and drive continuous improvements.

C.Reduce process variability using QOS and problem solving tools.

D.Initiate capital plan based on capacity studies and new product and production capabilities. Manage capital expenditure to meet budget and time line.

E.Forecast and manage departmental expenses and capital to meet and beat plan.

F.Initiate manufacturing cost estimates on engineering changes, product modifications and new products.

G.Direct and coordinate the development and maintenance of accurate work standards.

H.Develop and maintain key processes with strict adherence to ISO and safety standards.

I.Understand the EBS and drive the applicable elements through the organization.

J.Work closely with production and quality functions on problem solving activities for customer and internal issues.

K.Supervise, motivate and develop engineers and technicians in the Engineering Departments. Build a high performance culture in the organization.

L.Ensure accurate BOMs and routings.

M.Act as a strategic business partner in formulating plant strategy and driving actions to meet the goals.

N.Work with customers as needed on quality issues and business development.

O.Other functions as needed.

Basic Qualifications

A.Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Masters in Engineering or Business will be an added advantage. Has about 5 years of working experience.

B.Understanding in EBE, ELSS, Six Sigma, PFMEA, APQP, Control Plans, Problem Solving

C.Management experience in a Production environment.
