As a Research and Development Engineer_ Mechanical, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division and Motors & Generators (BU) Business unit, based in Shanghai. ABB is the World leader in Robotics and Motion (RM) division offering a wide range of products and services including drives, motors, generators and robots. Key applications include energy conversion, actuation, automation, standardized manufacturing cells for applications such as machine tending, welding, cutting, painting, finishing, palletizing and packing, and engineered systems for the automotive industry.

？ Responsible for Mechanical design of permanent magnet AC servo motors.
？ R&D Work for new servo motor construction design based on project/customer requirement.
？ Coordinate with electrical team to verify servo motor performance and quality.
？ Work with internal colleagues on component development, cost saving, improvement, etc.
？ Define servo motor product cost analysis and cost reduction plan based on project requirement.
？ Define technical standard/criteria for servo motor assembly line.

？ BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics.
？ 5+ years of Mechanical Design Experience on Servo Motor Design/ Assembly.
？ Worked for a multinational company or technical area in a motor industry.
？ Familiar with machining and assembly process, regulations and codes of related motor standards is required.
？ Knowledge of Servo drives, and Motor testing are preferred.
？ Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid works is must and SAP exposure will be useful.
？ Fluent in verbal and written English.
？ Positive Attitude, Self-motivated, Responsible & Flexible, Communication Skills, Team Work, Willing.
