Mission Statement:
As part of ABB’s global R&D efforts, perform product & solution development in power equipment digitalization and its application in digitalized/smart grid.

Responsibilities
？ Perform R&D projects for digitalized high voltage products and solutions in digital substation application
？ Work in R&D project teams on technologies and requirements analysis, high quality solution design, and system implementation, integration & verification.
？ Assume the responsibility for embedded system hardware development, including the schematics & PCB design;
？ Assume the responsibility for embedded system software design, including algorithm design/implementation, SW coding and product testing;
？ Assume the responsibility for algorithm design and implementation, focusing on diagnosis modeling, data processing and analysis, pattern recognition
？ Coordinates with local, regional and global resources to ensure a successful R&D projects execution

Requirements
？ PhD or Master degree majored in electrical engineering，power system, high voltage and insulation, automatic control or other related areas
？ Excellent understanding of power system, substation automation, power equipment principles.
？ Experience with HW design, and practical knowledge of hardware design process and tools (e.g. Altium Designer, SPICE, etc.);
？ Experience with embedded firmware design, e.g. STM32 series ARM microcontroller, familiar with DSP, FPGA programming will be good
？ Experience with algorithm design and implementation, including diagnosis modeling, data processing and analysis, pattern recognition
？ Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies
？ Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
？ Fluent in both oral and written English
