As an Senior Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Division and High Voltage Products (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.
You will responsible to strengthen our customer support team, we are looking for an electrical engineer which will ensure seamless tier 1 and tier 2 support to our customers and the global ABB service network. Due to the technical complexity and essential character of our equipment within our customer’s businesses good know-how of the power transmission and distribution industry and equipment is crucial.
? Support solution engineer and lead the resolution of technical cases as well as providing technical guidance to customers (remote real-time support) as well as to ABB's service centers and/or local engineers.
? Bidirectional know how transfer from factory to global service network and vice versa (e.g. newsletters, frequently asked questions etc.).
? Assessment and approval of warranty inquiries.
? Be ready to act as first point of contact for customers as well as for global ABB service network with regards to service requests, maintenance issues, warranty related queries etc.
? Be a customer advocate for timely response to issues and for problem resolution and escalation.
? Document and time-log all activities taken toward resolving customer issues.
? Identify leads and upselling opportunities for PG Services activity through communication and engagement with Customers.
? Where required, support customers during run time activities and provide online trouble shooting support and resolution.
? Support sales and product management teams in product roadmaps and the innovation process for potential new service solutions or modernization products.
? Participation in providing expert training to ABB's global service network (abroad and locally).
? Participation in ensuring 24/7 availability.

1. Bachelor’s or higher degree, Sound Electrical Engineering background.
2. 2+ years of practice within field of Experience.
3. Experience in engineering and/or commissioning is a plus.
4. Good command of English, any other European Language would be an advantage.
5. High focus on customers and their needs in must.
6. Ability to apply structured and methodic work style during increased pressure to act, Ability to act solution oriented and to variate different approaches, be flexible and creative and Intrinsic attitude to drive innovation and improvement.
7. Expert with cross-cultural relationships is a plus.
8. Readiness to travel (approx. 10%) on global base i.e. for troubleshooting, trainings or customer meetings.
