As a Talent Partner Lead, you will be part of the Asia, Middle East & Africa Division and Region Function Human Resources Business Unit (BU) based in Beijing.
As a Talent Partner Lead, you will be responsible to provide technical expertise, solutions and support within a Country/Cluster to attract, develop and retain the appropriate workforce to deliver the business strategy. Support the development of the Integrated Talent Center of Expertise and lead a team of Talent Partners to implement the Global Talent Function strategy and deliver integrated talent services and solutions to talent challenges.
Your Task as an Talent Partner Lead will include the following:
1. Business and Talent strategy:
a) Lead a team of Talent Partners to deliver the talent processes to implement Global and Region talent strategies in the Cluster/Country.
b) Work with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and line managers to gain insight into the short/mid/long term business needs and current talent challenges.
c) Provide feedback to Region Talent Head and Cluster Talent Leads, based on insights gained, to inform future strategy and programs.
d) Identify best talent both internally and externally with an integrated talent approach, combining both talent management and talent acquisition functions.
2. Talent processes:
a) Educate the business on the Talent function, coaching and influencing line managers to use standard processes, e.g. performance management, succession planning, talent review.
b) Work closely with HRBPs, coaching and supporting them to confidently use the Talent tools with their business leaders.
c) Champion talent tools and processes to employees (e.g. Talent Profiles, PDPs, etc.) and actively uses Talent Identification Process (TIP) and assessment program outcomes to identify internal talent for career opportunities and global mobility.
3. Internal talent:
a) Use Talent Identification Process (TIP) outcomes to identify internal ABB talent pools to ensure internal career and development opportunities are promoted.
b) Act as an internal talent broker and change agent to facilitate cross-organizational moves.
c) Prepare lists of potential internal candidates and initiate discussions with current line managers.
d) Conduct assessments for selection and development and gives post-event feedback and coaching to candidates.
e) Support managers and HRBPs in identifying career and development activities for employees.
4. Talent acquisition:
a) Responsible for delivery of talent processes including support for the recruitment process following position approval.
b) Manage recruitment campaigns, working directly with hiring managers to understand the requirements, and decides on the appropriate sourcing solution. Uses data-based evidence to address hiring manager expectations about the labor market and recruiting process.
c) Ensure quality and approves job postings and adverts.
d) Create shortlists of candidates and conduct interviews and assessments with hiring manager.
e) Provide feedback and coaching to the interviewed/assessed internal/external candidates in accordance with local practice and legislation.
f) Conclude the selection process with the manager and the candidate, including offer negotiations and closing the vacancy once the job offer is accepted.
g) Effectively partners with the GBS team to ensure all administration and coordination with candidates/hiring managers run smoothly and efficiently (job posting, candidate scheduling, job offer processing, reference checks, etc.).
h) Responsible for search within internal ABB talent pools and external talent pools to ensure internal career and development opportunities.
i) Liaise with recruitment firms as required, ensuring that they have been provided with appropriate job briefs, and are fulfilling the requirements.
5. Talent process improvements:
a) Recommend continuous improvement to practices, processes, and policies to advance the Talent function.
b) Contribute to the design and development of new talent solutions, both global and country/cluster-specific, and assists in their implementation.
c) Recommend changes to system functionality and supports systems implementation/upgrade in area of talent.
d) Lead implementation of changes to talent tools and processes in the Country/Cluster.
6. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with local legislation and HR policies, and adherence to OHS and compliance standards in all areas of responsibility.
7. People leadership:
a) Lead a team of dedicated Talent Partners.
b) Ensure that the team is properly organized, staffed and skilled.
c) Coach and develop team members to create a high performing team and contribute to the wider global HR talent pool.
? Bachelor or Master’s degree.
? 8-10 years of professional HR Experience and 3-5 years of Experience with full life-cycle recruiting including job brief, developing sourcing/marketing plan, candidate outreach and development, offer and close.
? Demonstrated success with various recruiting strategies and techniques, including use of digital and social media.
? Excellent knowledge in developing and leading talent management/development programs and experience in conducting assessments and providing feedback and/or previous HRBP role experience.
? Knowledge of internal and external business environment, organizational structure and good understanding of the business strategy and its implications for talent processes.
? Understanding of succession planning programs and methodologies.
? Knowledge of local legislation regarding recruitment and employment requirements.
? Familiar in CRM tool and experience leveraging the tool to source candidates as well as manage relationships.
? Prior experience working across cultures and with multi-function stakeholders.
? Strong customer service orientation with proven consulting and influencing skills.
? Experienced coach and developer of others, Previous team leadership experience will be considered as plus.
? Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, and other local language as required.
