As a Principle/Senior/Junior Technical Consultants, you will be part of the Power Grids (PG) Division and Grid Integration (BU) Business unit, based in Beijing. ABB is World’s No.1 in Power Products Business and the product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.

As a Principle/Senior/Junior Technical Consultants, you will be responsible to deliver high quality innovative consulting service in the area of in RE (renewable energy) and its integration, active distribution network, integrated energy system and industry electrical power system.

Your Tasks as a Principle/Senior/Junior Technical Consultants will include the following:

1.Technical and economic feasibility study and cost effective innovative solution study in following area (included but not limited):
a) Power distribution network: reliability, efficiency, high RE penetration in planning, construction, operation and maintenance.
b) Renewable energy, distributed energy resource, delivery and integration.
c) Microgrid / regional grid, system tech-economic-optimal solution and evaluation.
d) Power transmission: HVDC, VSC HVDC, FACTS, etc.
e) Energy Storage and its application.
2.Design and Specification:
a) Power system design: SLD, operational concept, etc.
b) Control and automation system: Architecture, specification of necessary interface.
c) Energy storage: Architecture, battery, PCS.
d) Product and system requirements specifications, functional specifications, concept designs and product data sheets.
3.Leadership and Coordination:
a) To take concept from an initial idea through concept, design, specification, user scenarios, test case, to completion.
b) Internal and external coordination.
4.Solution Promotion and Customer Interaction:
a) To disseminate ABB’s technical solution in Smart Grid area internally and externally.
b) Evangelize ABB’s smart grid vision to all the local stakeholder.
c) Leads or active participation to discussion with customers in close collaboration, from proposal to get approval for functional specification.
5.Process:
a) Ensure continuous standardization in order to promote the reusability of the developed technical solution. Cooperate with other team to ensure best use of available tool (e.g. software) in order to enhance efficiency and minimize error.

？ Master or Ph.D and strong technical background in electrical engineering, control & automation and power electronics.
？ 5+ years of relevant experience with Utilities Industries.
？ Open minded, team spirit and excellent innovation capability.
？ Adapt to multi-language working environment.
？ Fluent in oral and written English.
