Position overview:

This position is responsible for new programs management from the design phase to production to meet all program timing, cost, and quality requirement, as well as STP, make or buy or any special project management. The position drives early supplier involvement in new product introduction to meet key SCM initiatives and alignment with commodity plans of the Vehicle Group. This position will also need to take advance purchasing role for new commodity or new technology sourcing activities for supporting business growth.

Job description:

A. Coordinate all launching activities inside all Programs from PROLaunch Phase 0-6, linking SCM team (Commodity Buyers, SDE/SQE and Logistics), following all activities:

- Quotation Process.

- Financial Analysis. - Risk Assessment.

- Supplier definitions and Sourcing Council.

- Purchase Parts PROLaunch.

- APQP Process (with SDE team).

- Approval process (with SQE team).

- Ramp up.

- Capacity analysis.

- Start of production.

- Cost tracking and capital expenditure.

B. Flawless Launches: development of all new purchase parts, covering the entire process - from customer/sales RFQ process until SOP, considering simultaneous engineering, new technology alternatives, new process and suppliers.

C. Coordinate with commodity manager, SDE and SQE teams to ensure strategies align with strategic and profit plan. Needs to fully understand all the commodity strategies and align the strategies to the plans.

D. Represent SCM function inside PROLaunch team.

E. Support SCM Profit Plan & Strat Plan, aligned with Division Goals & Global Strategies

F. Support Global Cost-out initiatives and sourcing teams, assuring commodity strategy implementation, searching for best cost country, and exploring global markets.

G. Product BOM cost owner. Lead and identify SCM VAVE activities to optimize direct material cost to satisfy business growth requirement with support from cross function team member

H. Support Sourcing programs – Resourcing / Outsourcing – using Program management methodology with Commodity Management team.

Job requirement:

Education and Skills required to meet position qualifications:

a) Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (preferentially)

b) Minimum of five years of experience, in functions related to manufacturing and/or support areas. Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain area (preferentially).

c) Advanced / Fluent English language.

d) MS Office package knowledge.

e) Possesses program management skills.

f) Excellent communicate, customer service, and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations and Supply Chain Management personnel.

g) Knowledge of administrative, governmental and organizational dynamics required to operate an efficient global network is important.

h) Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results through cross-functional business initiatives and commodity strategies.

i)Collaborative skills are necessary to achieve and meet SCM and customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move projects and initiatives forward.

j)Analytical problem solving abilities are necessary to understand operational inefficiencies and separate/resolve legitimate supplier performance issues.

Preferred/Additional Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position):

Possesses knowledge of technical specifications, product and service performance requirements, manufacturing and quality improvement processes, and customer service expectations.
