ABB operates in more than 100 countries with about 132,000 employees www.abb.com</p><br><p>As part of Local IS Business Engagement organization, IS Business Engagement Manager responsible for Local Business Unit Robotics is responsible for identifying the business needs, collecting, qualifying and prioritizing the demand and mobilizing the IS organization to deliver appropriate solutions to meet business needs.
The IS Business Engagement Manager interacts with local business managers to identify the needs, translates these into a portfolio of IS demands, and work with the IS delivery organizations (Domain Delivery Manager, Service Managers) to ensure delivery.
The IS Business Engagement Manager interacts with the Global BU, Division IS BEMs and Country Business Engagement Managers to identify the global initiative relevant for local business unit.
The key element of the role is to develop a (rolling) roadmap of projects (local and global) to present the full overview of IS project portfolio relevant for Local BU Management.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Solutions
Proactively collaborates and partners with the Group Division and Global IS Business Engagement Manager and Local Division / Business Unit Management to qualify and prioritize demand in area of responsibility.
Recommends delivery of business processes / IS systems projects and changes in area of responsibility, resulting in improved efficiency, effectiveness, quality and/or operational functionality.
2. IS Delivery
Demands and monitors delivery of IS services / support within the Local Business Unit, supporting execution of requirements within budgeted costs and time schedule.
Demands effective interfaces between local / corporate IS teams for all IS activities and always monitors and demands adherence to agreed service level, strives for closing any gaps, proactively strives for improvements and delivery excellence, insisting, that agreed time, budget and quality specifications are met.
3. Processes
Leads or contributes to the demand management process for the respective area of responsibility and portfolio, ensures quality in process execution.
Collaborates with local Business Counterparts to map business process demand to existing or new IS solutions. Supports the installation / management / maintenance / optimization of internal IS and cross-functional processes related to IS Service delivery or IS Service demand in relevant area of responsibility.
4. IS Standards
Proactively develops and maintains IS competence within area of responsibility, always ensuring alignment to given goals, and compliance with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture, any relevant IS Standards and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines.
5. Budget
Manages assigned budget effectively and delivers activities within agreed schedules and costs.
6. Stakeholder Management
Executes as single IS interface to Local Business Unit(s), supports building of satisfaction with IS services by assessing and managing stakeholder’s expectations.
Accountable to Business for defining IS solutions to meet business process requirements, including delivery costs & SLAs in the area of responsibility.
Accountable to Business for delivering IS solutions (e.g. IS project) to agreed schedule, cost and quality, and managing stakeholder expectations within area of responsibility.
Manages close operations relationships with stakeholders.
Partners with local Management to identify business need.
7. Incident, Change or Project
Is consulted and provides input for any incident, change or project which has, or might have, a major impact on area of responsibility, and/or on the whole of IS.
Informs/consults relevant IS colleagues on any change or project activities which may have a major impact on the others' areas of responsibility.
8. Governance
Executes, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACIS and LEC specification.
9. IS Strategy
Contributes to the development of the IS Strategy and Enterprise Architecture for the Local Business Unit, if requested.
10. People leadership and development
In concert with the Local HRBP ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates (if any) within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.
If applicable maintains a business oriented and customer-focused team.
Builds network of trust and collaboration with the respective business counterparts
Fosters and maintains productive working relationships with managers in the Business Unit, customers and suppliers in order to anticipate and effectively respond to strategic and operational requirements.

- Min. 5 year experience in Manufacturing industry
- Min. 2 years experience as IS/IT Manager
- Nice to have: IT Solution implementation experience in manufacturing, engineering or sales areas
Skills
- Knowledgeable about manufacturing or sales processes
- Must to have: proficient the SAP modules: PP, MM, SD
- Nice to have: CRM knowledge and implementation experience
- Nice to have: PDM/PLM knowledge and implementation experience
- Nice to have: MES knowledge and implementation experience
