职位描述：
I. POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to conduct market research on industry trends, markets, financials, and statistical data used in market and product development activities. Also maintains statistical reports to support business planning and decision-making. With supervision, may assist in the development of new and existing products/markets through research, etc.


II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
? Identify, collect and analyze market and competitor information to support management decision process
? Conduct market research tasks which include qualitative & quantitative research, statistical reviews and data mining
? Compiles and analyzes historical and current data to obtain analytical trends and analysis
? Collect and analyze competitors’ product specs, policy and pricing information
? Conduct research and analyze market information to support new product development

? Quality of market research findings
? Efficiency of result delivery
? Ability of information summarization and analysis
? Efficiency of literature research


III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
The position requires in-depth knowledge of market research methodology, strong data analysis capability, and excellent interview skills


IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
This positions requires a good business sense, and good knowledge of business operations, economics and market analysis


V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Ability to train and manage part-time to undertake market research when necessary


VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:
This position will meet many problems when undertaking market research. Ability to come up with solutions to problems is a “must to have” attribute for this position


VII. NATURE OF IMPACT
This position has impact on the data/research basis of managerial and strategic decision of the Company


VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:
This position has substantial impact on the quality and accuracy of research undertaken, and therefore influences the basis of strategy decision-makings of management team

This candidate has to be result-oriented, as he/she needs to overcome many problems in order to collect accurate information


X. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
This position is required to have high communications skills in order to gain detailed and accurate information from interviews, and to communicate his/her idea and findings to other team members


XI. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
？ Passion and commitment in market research
？ Bachelor degree in engineering / marketing / economics from Agricultural University preferred
？ 3-5 years working experience in market research and analysis. Previous work experience with market research firm is preferred
？ Strong ability in telephone or face-to-face interviews, and independent information collection capability is a must
？ Industry experience with agricultural machinery, heavy machinery or agriculture will be an advantage
？ Good analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and a team player
？ Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Power Point and Excel
