I. POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to perform marketing related activities for AGCO's new global product project.

The responsibility of this position is to coordinate with other functional teams in the development of project and offer marketing assistance to global project management.



The incumbent will initiate, develop and coordinate:

Identification of market trends and commensurate product offering, strategies and tactics
Product line scope, specifications, acquisition costs, service needs and pricing that achieve profitable growth of the brand distribution network via the products being managed


This position will interface on a regular basis with other disciplines within the company, including Sales, Parts & Services, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, etc.. In addition, the position will need to liaise with Centurion global manager and APAC marketing team.




II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY:
Marketing Activities

Implement and sustain an up-to-date Marketing Plan with the necessary databases for products and services marketed for the specified product groups marketed under the brand name.
Communicate Price Lists and relevant Sales Programs for each market of responsibility to the Sales teams.
Conditions to achieve planning objectives. This includes clear, concise and timely communications of such programs to internal and external functions.

Sales Activities

Analyze market potentials and competitive market positions and initiate recommendations for the composition of the brands' product mix and model.
Specifications to help product development priorities and product sourcing.
In coordination with the Distribution, Sales and Parts/Service organization, analyze overall market trends and local market potentials to define the target markets.


Product Support

In conjunction with the relevant Product Management / Support Managers from all brands:

Provide sales support on related sales queries on products of responsibility.
Ensure timely response to critical requests wherever possible.
Ensure that product knowledge is current on all products of responsibility.
Ensure Product Bulletins for specific product lines are produced and provided, where appropriate.


Product Development Activities

Maintain AMDIS data base on a regular basis as per schedule established.
Follow regular procedure for AMPIP (AGCO Major Product Introduction Procedure)


Advertising & Promotion Activities

Plan new products launch activities.
Participate in major farm shows.

Financial Management Activities

Coordinate operating expense and development budgets within corporate directives to achieve the Budget results.
Coordinate overall discount level as established in the budget.
Coordinate pricing and marketing programs to effectively contribute to profitable growth of the product, whist achieving budget target for sales volumes, net sales and gross margins.


X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:



Good understanding of agricultural machinery and its application in the field.
Good communication skills both oral and written.
Diploma / Degree in Agriculture, Engineering or Marketing.
High energy and ability to persevere in a challenging business environment.
Previous experience in sales / sales support role preferred.
Capability to be consistent and timely in the completion of assignments.
Willingness to work with all team members, regardless of physical locations.
Willingness to travel within China (20-30% of the time)
