The China Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the effectiveness of the China country sourcing and lead purchasing team for strategic sourcing and materials management (supply chain from suppliers to AGCO plant).

Within this context, the China Sourcing Manager will always be balancing the following objectives:

- Optimize costs while meeting Engineering and Product Management specifications/requirements

- Ensure consistent quality and quantity of supply to AGCO operations

- Recognize and balance the relative risks and opportunities of China vs. other 'established' markets and product country of origin like Brazil (BX200) or Finland (Valtra)

Top 3 skills needed to do the job:

- Demonstrated track record of managing production purchasing team at multinational manufacturing companies (JV or WOFE)

- Solid experience of managing the sourcing for a variety kinds of commodities, not single commodity with automotive commodity related industry.

- Strong communication skills and ability of wining the trust of US / European colleagues, international exposure / working experience will be a definite plus

Background:

- Experience with automotive, construction equipment or tractor industry

- Sourcing experience with castings, forgings, fabrications, plastics, rubber, machining parts and heavy stampings

- Good understanding of China materials prices and availability

- Good knowledge of China supply base for those stated commodities

- Good understanding of different materials such as castings, stampings, gears and their cost in China

- Good understanding of Chinese material cross-reference with US and European materials

- Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must for the position

- Education background in Engineering or Business is preferred
