机械工程本科专业,本科以上学历,硕士学历尤佳;

5年以上工程机械,农业或工业机械的设计测试经验;

有国外工作经验,或跨国合作的设计\降成本项目经验者优先;

良好的英语听说读写能力;

熟练使用CAD/PRO-E等设计软件(3年以上)

熟练使用办公软件

I. POSITION PURPOSE:


The purpose of this job is to design and develop moderately complex product and component concepts for release to production in a manner to ensure superior performance, durability, reliability, quality and serviceability to the worldwide marketplace.












II. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY: KEY MEASUREMENT:
· Conceive and provide practical design solutions for a variety of functional requirements·
· Preparation and delivery of complex product designs using CAD system·
· Conduct design calculations, simulation and analysis to back up design solutions·
· Work with testing, workshop & suppliers to bring about timely introduction of designs·
· Provide guidance and technical support to other departments as required·




III. FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
Describe the level of knowledge of function work and activities required to fulfill the role. Is the role task driven/ procedural or is there a requirement to consider the application of principles and/or theory and practice ?



The role requires experience and knowledge in the domain of product and component design. The role is task driven and the job holder must be capable of seeing a task/project through from beginning to end, therefore the job holder must be capable of working semi-autonomously. There will be strong emphasis on cost control and the job holder will be expected to develop knowledge in this area if not already acquired. The role includes technical decision making and the ability to perform design calculations when necessary . Application of general engineering theory will be required and the experience and use of CAD systems is essential.



IV. BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
Describe the required level of knowledge and expertise about the business. Does the job holder require:
a. little understanding of the business
b. understanding of the team
c. understanding of the function/department
d. overall knowledge of the industry/other industries?



The job holder is expected to maintain a good level of understanding of the business. The job holder must have a good understanding of the purchasing, manufacturing and quality function to the degree where they can provide input to these functions. A keen interest and knowledge of the agricultural industry is required including current trends and country specific knowledge of industry institutions and developments. The job holder will be expected to attend meetings when required and able to take minutes/notes turning them into reports when needed. The job holder is expected to represent the engineering department at inter-departmental meetings or with 3rd parties such as supplier. The job holder will be expected to travel when required, either domestically or internationally.






V. LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
To what extent is the job responsible for guiding/supervising or managing people (including level of ‘authority’ and budgetary responsibility)
Does the position ‘supervise’ shop floor/clerical, professional or managerial employees? Please attach an organization chart.


No budgetary control is required but knowledge of component cost build-up is needed. No staff supervision at this level is needed but the job holder will be required to work with engineering prototype/test workshop staff in order to produce and/or validate their designs. Some direction may be necessary. The job holder must be able to manage their own time and tasks in a manner which ensures they meet deadlines set by their manager.




VI. PROBLEM SOLVING:
Describe how problems are solved by the job holder


The job holder will be required to validate their concept design work. This may include calculations, simulation and testing. A variety of validation techniques may be needed including computer aided simulation and/or testing. The job holder is expected to take a practical approach to problem solving and use all the means at their disposal. A combination of common sense, practical skills and the latest techniques may have to be employed.


The job holder must be capable of multi step sequential problem solving and taking initiative where required. They must be able to work independently and make decisions that require initiative and judgment in order to effectively plan, organize and complete various work assignments.






VII. NATURE OF IMPACT
Describe how the job impacts the business and the overall responsibility associated with the job.
This role is intended to have a positive impact on the business in terms of timely completion of projects and product to market. The job holder therefore also has a responsibility to help maintain AGCO’s expected quality standards. The job holder is expected to work semi-autonomously and actively seek out the work required to be done. The job holder is expected to make suggestions for improvement and use their initiative at all times in order to progress the objectives and goals of the company. The job holder is responsible for the tasks allocated to them by their line manager and must execute them to a satisfactory conclusion.



VIII. AREA OF IMPACT:
Describe which parts of the business the job impacts (internal and external), e.g. team, department, function.


This role principally has an impact on the engineering function of the business and our ability to provide design solutions and therefore getting product to market in good time.


IX. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Describe the level and type of regular and ongoing interpersonal skills required with others, over and above superior/subordinate exchanges..


The job holder must be capable of direct (face to face) and indirect (Email, telephone etc…) communication with personnel within and outside of the company at all levels from shop floor staff to senior management. The job holder must be capable of expressing technical ideas, solutions and processes in Mandarin in spoken and written form. The ability to speak and write a basic level of English is required and the desire to improve their level of English is a must.


The job holder must be able to accept change and respond appropriately. They must be flexible and willing to accept a variety of tasks as assigned.


X. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Indicate the qualifications and number of years experience required, including areas that are industry specific.
Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with Masters Degree considered a plus.
Experience in design and testing of On/Off-highway vehicles (Construction, Agricultural & industrial sectors) (5+ years)
Experience of working in overseas locations and on joint design/cost reduction activities considered a plus
Ability to communicate in English – Written and spoken at some level
Trained in the use of CAD/Pro-E software (3+ years)
Computer literate – MS office etc…
