Job Description

•Support new product development in capturing customer’s requirement in all electrical aspects(both digital and analog) and to develop, design, and modify products to the defined requirements including analysis, laboratory tests, simulation, and field evaluation to assure compliance to project and customer and industry requirements; prepare the documents required to define the products and show verification of analytics.
•Provide solutions to problems with electronic circuitry, analog and digital. Analyze problems and identify design solutions as applicable.
•Work with other engineering disciplines (system, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing) to accomplish cross-functional designs and integration of designs.
•Oversee the partner’s electrical detail design, including providing guidance, approving drawings and help communication between partner’s engineer and Eaton US engineer.
•Prepare, review, and approve the documentation required to define and control products per request. Prepare design proposals to present to customer once design is finalized. Support design reviews, both customer and internal as required.
•Responsible for coordinating the electrical engineering activities in the ES&C Costa Mesa site and SAE in response to customer needs and requirements.
•Provide/support troubleshooting on site based on the understanding of product.
•Provide Subject matter expertise on all areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering designs.
• Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.

•Prepare, review, and approve engineering coordination memo as well as any other documents for coordination with the customer.
•Work with customers, suppliers, project managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs.
•Provide technical support to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)•MSEE and two (2) to five (5) years experience, or BSEE and at least five (5) to (7)
seven years experiences.
•Experience in analog and digital circuit design, which includes ADC and DAC circuits
design, DC – DC converter power supply design, constant current source design, FPGA,
microcontroller embedded circuit design.
•Strong communication and listening skills with emphasis on technical writing and presentation.
•Hands on experience in bench top prototype circuit verification, PCB layout verification,
familiar with electrical and electronics test equipment.
•Proficient in trouble shooting of circuit and system failures, EMI test failures, etc.
•Proficient in ORCAD Allegro and PSPICE.
•Knowledge of MatrixOne or other PDM system for documentation control and workflow is
desired.
•Experience with Matlab / Simulink, DFMA, DFSS and DOE is a plus.
•Proficiency in the English language.
•Ability to demonstrate analytical problem solving.
•Demonstrated the ability to function in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision,
while performing multiple tasks.
