Reporting to R&D Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• design and develop components sub-assemblies and final assemblies, on time, cost and quality / reliability targets
• development and execution of project through various stages of product design, according to New Product Development (NPD) process
• following our NPD milestone procedure and ensure accuracy in the project documentation
• co-ordination with internal customers
• mechanical design including techniques such as FMEA, DFMEA, strength calculation, dynamic loading
• design, development prototyping in a variety of materials to prove concepts or design solutions

Key Requirements:

• university degree in Engineering or Design subject
• three to six years of experience in the field of design preferably in an international industrial (corporate) environment
• technically sound and have experience in designing and developing complex engineering equipment
• the incumbent shall have excellent commercial acumen and knowledge of product costing
• good knowledge of hydraulics, related electronics and mechanical structures (at least two of the three)
• fluent in written and spoken English
