Position Summary
We are currently seeking aM&A associate to provide support in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. This includes working in the full cycle of a deal including market intelligence, developing a pipeline of targets, strategic analysis of fit, valuation, due diligence, risk assessment, managing acquisition/divestiture processes and deal execution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
? Research and analyze current and adjacent markets, source and screen potential acquisition targets, perform financial analysis and modeling and coordinate due diligence
? Work with business units to identify growth opportunities and evaluate strategic fit
? Interact with target companies, owners, financial intermediaries and external consultants through transaction process
? Support assessment of potential acquisitions and strategic investments; develop and maintain various valuation models; identify risks and assist in deal structuring
? Support or lead potential divestiture activities
? Work closely with various corporate partners, such as Legal, Accounting, and Tax, among others, to manage due diligence and overall transaction process
Position / Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance or related. MBA strongly preferred.
? Minimum of 2 years of transaction-related experience, preferably with an investment bank, private equity firm, strategy consulting firm or in corporate development.
? Demonstrated success and experience performing company and industry research.
? Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop firm relationships.
? Strong analytical thinking - analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
? Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
? Detailed oriented and highly organized.
? Requires self-management, high degree of initiative and project management ability.
? Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
