Basic Function / General Description:
This individual will lead and manage robust design methodologies and initiatives within an engineering center. Robust Design Leaders (RDLs) are subject matter experts responsible for the deployment, execution and auditing of Engineering Quality Methods and Quality Review Board (QRB) teams. This role is expected to be a full-time role with direct reporting to the center leader.
Job Responsibilities:
? As a leader and change agent in the center:
o Be accountable for robust product development, ensuring that programs meet all quality standards and processes.
o Chair or participate as necessary on Gate review teams to help drive Gate review success. Ensure that Gate review “yes or no” decisions are accurate
o Drive improvement and standardization with implementing effective processes that help product teams deliver “robust products”.

? As an expert, coach, and consultant:
o Coordinate the development, maintenance, and interpretation of design and qualification standards and standard work for engineering, including:
？ Worldwide Robust Engineering Standards
？ Design Robustness Methods (e.g. Design for Variation, DOE, Reliability, Product Definition, and KPI Management)
o Provide training and support development teams in applying Design ProCert standards, methods, tools and concepts

? As member of the global Engineering robust design leadership team:
o Feedback and propagate best practices and lessons learned from development teams, COPQ improvements, and other areas to the design processes that improve standard work for Engineering, Operations, and Supply Management.
o Develop, implement, and improve both Operations and Engineering metrics related to process certification and design robustness.
o Interface with the operations and champion Design for Manufacturability and Modularity for the new programs.
? Position will involve working directly with WHQ engineering functional leadership and matrix to WHQ robust design leadership. Position will also involve worldwide coordination and communication with BIS design centers, program managers, and WHQ Cross-functional Organizations.

? Job performance will be measured based on delivery of engineering center and individual objectives and on customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications, Work Experience & Skills Requirements:
? 5~8 years design experience,
? Strong knowledge in 6 Sigma, Black Belt is preferred;
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
? Excellent ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with remote team members, is essential.
? Experience in Design for Variation, DOE, Reliability, and KPI Management, is required.
? Experience of DFMEA, Risk management, manufacture process certification, is required.
? Experience in leading product quality investigation and improvements, is valued.
? Knowledge of design for manufacturability, is valued
? Basic knowledge of NPD is required.
? Creative, open minded, critical thinker,leadership and energetic with good teamwork ethic
Educational Requirements
? MS in Engineering, PhD is appreciated
? Language: Fluent in English writing and communication; CET-6 or equivalent
