Micron Technology’s Advanced Controller Group is focused on developing leading-edge memory controller and System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, incorporating advanced HW and FW to enable Micron’s SSD and mobile NAND product roadmap.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

In this role you will be responsible for a growing Firmware Test group tasked with providing a robust firmware test and infrastructure for the development of Micron’s flash based solutions.
This group will be responsible for validating the firmware quality on devices from the mobile space, using UFS and eMMC. This will be primarily based on Flash but will extend to cover other volatile and non-volatile storage technology.
You will work on establishing a standardized test process, selecting of tools and techniques, development of test tools and scripts and then execution of test plans against products in development, working very closely with the firmware development management team.

In this role you will have first level managers, reporting directly to you, who will be responsible for the different test development teams.

Experience:

? Management experience of leading a team of over 25 engineers, with sub-ordinate managers.
? Experience leading a FW/SW test team in the storage space
? Experience in the NAND flash based storage industry
? Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally eMMC, UFS (nice to have – PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS).
? In depth experience of software and firmware development methodologies, with emphasis on Agile development, Test Driven Development and Integration tests.
? Practical experience in the project management of firmware and software
? Knowledge of current state of the art development tools and their real world application

Education:

? BSEE or equivalent required
? Excellent English
