Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

1. The Diagnostic Technician shall be responsible for test reject inventory control to minimize the reject WIP.

2. The Diagnostic Technician will be responsible to support the repair center operations as required.

3. To provide real time feedback to the production and engineer on the process related rejects.

4. The Diagnostic Technician shall diagnose test failures from PCBA, System, and Field.

5. The Diagnostic Technician shall be required to repair diagnosed boards and be proficient in all soldering standards.

6. The Diagnostic Technician shall provide support to Test Engineers and Quality Engineers through participation in the continuous improvement effort and promote a “Quality First " mentality.

7. The Diagnostic Technician shall monitor diagnostic performance through regular measurement of critical metrics of Diag throughput, Mis- diagnosis and Debug WIP with the objective of maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of the diagnostic function. He/She should assist in identifying root cause along with the Diagnostic Engineer or Test Engineer to minimize any potential impact.

8. Monitors and analyzes test fallout data. Conducts in-depth diagnosis on high fallout boards to determine the root cause of problems and to recommend corrective actions.

9. The Diagnostic Technician shall perform component failure analysis as required.

10. The Diagnostic Technician shall train repair operators and test operators as required.

11. Have the responsibility of choosing non-toxic or low- toxic material , low noise and energy saving and safe production machines .

12. Repair, maintain and check safety protective equipment; and ensure it in good condition.

13. Must consider environmental, safety; health issues when initiating a new project or new product or new production line.

14. Wear right PPE and operate safety, fire drill and EHS training.

15. Identify and sort waste in a way.



Accountability & measures:

-Abide by Ethic code

-Follow OTIS EHS policy, regularly attend EHS training.

-No WIP for any defective units related to testing to support production order fulfillment.

Work experience & skills requirements:

Job Requirements:

1) EE major with a College or above degree;

2) At least 3 years repaired experience in PCBA level and box build level;

3) Good skill in failure analysis report generated ;

4) Good skill in communication with engineer and related department;

5) Good Skill on test and measurement equipment, such as AC/DC Source, AC/DC Load, Oscilloscope, multimeter;

?6) Electrical/Electronic engineering skills including demonstrated knowledge of schematics, basic circuit theory, repair and troubleshooting.

7) Work requires initiative and judgment, within standard procedures and a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures dealing with the area of responsibility.
