Job Responsibilities
He/She will work to maintain product performance and quality for existing products by leading and assisting with issues relating to CAPAs, customer complaints, manufacturing processes and component lifecycle management, such as:
o CAPA resolution
o Failure investigation and root cause analysis
o Process enhancement and improvement
o Regulatory and Agency compliance (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, FCC, CE)
o Product Design Verification and Design Validation
o Design changes
o Test methods/Standards and tooling design

? Duties will also require the evaluation and analysis of new electronic components.
? Performs qualification of alternate sourcing for current components.
? Troubleshoots problematic components used in production and works to identify solutions to resolve yield related issues.
? Evaluate test results and recommend course of action based upon the results and the requirements.
? Evaluates analytical methods and procedures to determine how they might be improved. Identifies quality problems, tracks problem down to root cause and recommends solutions.
? Performs in- and out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommends corrective actions.
? Prepare instructions for test programs, for product analysis of new designs or modifications of present products.
? Prepare technical reports, justifications, ECNs, Work Instructions, BOMs and Item Masters for assigned projects. Understand and work with in the Solution Development Process (SDP) for new product design.
? Be an interface between R&D China and local Sales, Field Service, SCM, Sourcing and Manufacturing and the Sustaining Engineering Team in US/Europe.

Education
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Experience
A minimum of 1 to 3 years in an electrical/electronic component design engineering environment and/or quality and sustaining role.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Extensive and specialized knowledge of RF analog and digital component circuit design and manufacturing.
* Working knowledge of component level design, development and product validation.
* Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
* Must be organized and attentive to detail, demonstrated analytical skills
* Ability to technically document and present an engineering position and perform analytical analysis in the design of new or modified products
* Ability to write and review technical documentation.
* Perform Root Cause Analysis and/or 8D Problem Solving.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
* Knowledge of electrical design, capable of reading electrical schematic and PCB layout. Knowledge of PADs is a plus.
* Independent, self-motivated, responsible with the ability to work in a global-team environment, with shifting priorities.
* Willing to travel
