Key objective of the Procurement Roles is to support business as THE PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONALS, INFLUENCIAL PARTNERS AND CAPABLE LEADERS

Typical Activities:
· Manage the procurement spend in China for category production equipment (CAPEX, MRO, etc.)
· Connect with Regional Category Manager to implement global/regional strategy in China
· Align with business partners for procurement strategy development in China
· Lead sourcing and collaborate with business partner on project base cross 3 Business Units

Focus:
· Cost saving
· Implementation of global/regional strategy and develop local strategy (category management)
· Other procurement priorities (compliance, sourcing tools, etc.)
· Internal customer satisfaction

Key Business Partners: -
· DHL Express – Operation and Finance
· DHL Global Forwarding – Operation and Finance
· DHL Supply Chain – Operation and Finance

Serving as Procurement Professionals:
· Develop, maintain and share thorough knowledge of local China:
· markets / category trends
· suppliers / regional players
· Develop local and contribute to regional and global category sourcing strategies and initiatives
· Prepare & lead strategic supplier negotiation with local suppliers
· Prepare, conduct and lead tenders (incl. E-sourcing)
· Ensure effective implementation of DPDHL Procurement contracts
· Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of regional / local Business Partners
· Conduct local & regional supplier management and identify new best in class regional suppliers
· Manage local budgets and contribute to regional targets

Acting as Influential Partners:
· Establish close relationships with regional/country BPs to ensure actual / future knowledge of demand and service quality; · build and maintain solid understanding of respective business needs

· Ensure strong working relationship & cooperation with (in addition to Business Partners):
· region/country and corporate sourcing / category managers, strategic suppliers, external partnerships locally (other organizations)

Working as Capable Leaders:
· lead, manage & develop teams across multiple locations in China.

Relevant Qualification:
· Relevant university degree and/or equivalent experience
· English

· Local language as needed

Required Experience:
· 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement general management
· Proven experience in leading negotiations of mid/large volume, high impact and with different degrees of complexity
· Leading diverse and remote teams
· Experience with mid-sized project management
· Category experience in Transportation, Production Equipment, IT&T, Ground Fleet, Facility Management and Network · Supplies including packaging, uniforms, print and general consumables
