Job Title:Sales Manager – Asia / Pacific Region
About Neapco Asia :Neapco Asia is a division of Neapco Holdings with headquarters in Michigan, USA. Neapco is a global company which designs, tests, validates and manufactures driveline assemblies for the automotive industries as well as agricultural, recreational, industrial, and heavy truck industries.
With manufacturing locations in the United States, Mexico, Germany, Poland, and China Neapco is well positioned to serve the customers’ global needs. To further assure our continued growth, the Asia division is expanding its sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing capabilities. As part of this expansion we are looking to hire an energetic Sales Manager to work with our Asia customer base. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and have a direct contribution to the company’s success.
Position Location:Shanghai, China (JingAn District)
Position Overview:This position is targeted for Sales professionals with direct experience dealing with customers in the OE market. The China global automotive OE market requires each manufacturer to partner with a China domestic manufacturing which then forms a Joint Venture (JV) company to manage the global programs in China. The Sales manager will be the key customer interface with the purchasing divisions from the JV companies for Neapco Asia customers and also lead in customer interface with Asia OEM opportunities.Compensation is dependent on the candidate’s qualifications. This is a salary position with the opportunity for annual bonus based on achievement of stated goals and objectives.
Position Responsibilities:The Sales Manager positionwill have the following responsibilities:
? Lead the sales/quote function for new business acquisition
? Work with the customer purchasing departments to receive RFQ (Request for Quote) and distribute to the organization internally.
? Motivate and Drive the internal organization to make sure the quote deadlines are met.
? Ability to develop cost/pricing models based on key inputs from the organization
? Primary Interface with the customer purchasing departments
? Work to develop product knowledge and understanding of internal manufacturing process.
Position Qualifications:In order to meet the objectives of this position, the candidate should possess as many of the following skillsets as possible:
? Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline (Maters Degree a Plus)
? 5-7 years relevant Sales experience in dealing with OE customers
? Understanding of customer needs and ability to put together a sales strategy to fulfill those needs
? Good understanding of cost development and pricing levels including profitability
? Comfortable in presenting to the customer in both groups and individually
? Ability to work internally with all levels and departments
? Willing to travel both locally in China and internationally based on customer requests
? Proven track record of team leadership, problem solving, and working with International Teams
? English level of average or better is required (CET6)
? Proficiency in Chinese is required
? Automotive Experience is desired but not required
