Banyan Tree Spa is now seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual in Shanghai to fill up the following position.

Job Title: Manager, Spa Marketing Communications

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise and implement the Public Relations and Marketing Communications activities to drive branding initiatives
• Possess strong media contact base in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong; Must be highly bilingual in both English and Mandarin – both written and spoken
• Maintain and establish new relations with the relevant global and Greater China media contacts and strategic business partnerships such as credit card companies and banks at least once a month
• Proactively initiate and pitch PR stories to heighten the Brand awareness
• Research and draft quality English and Mandarin media releases for timely disseminating to press contacts
• Prepare and reply to all incoming English and Mandarin media enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Be a brand ambassador to ensure key strategic messages are consistently and effectively communicated across all platforms and channels such as collaterals/websites,Corporate Signings events and Corporate Community Liaison/speeches
• Be a guardian of the Corporate Identity to ensure adherence to brand standards and consistent use of style and tone of language(s)
• Drive consistent and high visibility for local and international awards for all spa outlets in Greater China via close liaison with awards organisers and magazines, preparation of impressive Awards Submission Papers to meet awards requirements
• Provide support in copywriting, translation/vetting and development of collateral work for all existing and pre-opening spas in day-to-day and news marketing collaterals, advertisements, direct mailers, third-party marketing materials, websites; writing of spa menus
• Liaison with Spa outlet Managers and business owners for collaborations
• Manage creative agencies/designers; vendors; suppliers to design and produce new marketing collaterals and promotional materials to meet stipulated timelines and prompt delivery
• Undertake any projects/tasks as and when assigned by Supervisor and Management .

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Mass Communication/Marketing Communications/Public Relations/ English language/Journalism or its equivalent
• Possess strong PR knowledge; Has strong key local and regional media contacts in Greater China; innovative and able to pitch for multi-angle stories
• Highly bilingual in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken
• Strong creative and corporate-quality business writing and editing skills to communicate key messages
• Has strong Marketing Communications experience, especially in collateral production, advertising and promotions, suppliers/designer liaison
• Highly organised, diligent in follow-up and detailed-oriented
• Possesses proficiency in MS Office (Words, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Able to mult-task and work under pressure with tight timelines
• Has a pleasant disposition with a positive can-do attitude; Is independent yet a good team player
• Is professionally groomed and neat in appearance
• Must have a minimum 5 years similar capacity in hospitality, spa, and/or luxury branded industry and/or journalism background
