Position Summary:
Responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Control and Quality Systems, and finished goods product inspection audits to support the Asian supply chain.


Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5 years related work experience with multinational company, hardware and/or bath industry knowledge in Quality Assurance field.


Non-Negotiable Skills:
Besides the normal Non-Negotiable Skills for QA inspector, the associate should have the ability to give strong technical support and better decision making skill.
Capable to communicate with responsible Masco BU thru phone or VC independently.
Solid ISO9000 quality management knowledge and audit experience.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform quality inspection at supplier.
FA inspection and (mfg) inline checking.
Supplier Process Control and Quality System.
Corrective action (identify product & mfg issues and recommend follow up corrective actions) within the manufacturing process.
Monitor supplier manufacturing & quality processes.
Assist BU with establishing product specifications for all product categories.
Customer complaints handling with factory CAP following up.
Ensure that suppliers follow all BU’s product specification directives, design changes, material specifications, packaging specifications etc.
Ensure that suppliers understand and follow up with Masco’s policy and requirements.
Sustain the gains from the implementation of the recommended programs – not just when convenient.
Line balance processes and recommend changes to the process to optimize overall manufacturing efficiencies and overall throughput.
Develop Preventive Maintenance schedules with factory equipment based on sound engineeering principles and/or sound historical data.
Conduct periodic product audits at supplier factory
a. First Article inspections;
b. In-Process inspections;
c. Pre-Shipment inspections.
Ensure that personnel are trained in quality assurance with regards to procedures, tools, disciplines and system/equipment functionality, e.g. SPC, FMEA, 6 Sigma, 5S, ISO, DOE, PPAP, APQP, Lean Manufacturing….
