Mission
To implement new gas cooktop platform design change for NA for Electrolux EMA. Performs new product development from concept through production based upon Customer/Marketing directives.
Key Operational Responsibilities
responsible for the introduction of new gas platform(s) or component(s) change for NA cooktops based on Hangzou manufactured product.
Support the purchase and manufacturing functions on improvement activities and interface between the different PC´s and the supply base.
Support design changes in full respect of EMA Global and NA Product Development Rules & Guidelines for implementation of design changes (approval Rules, modularisation, etc.)
- Provide correct industrialisation of design changes and of new models/PNC in production; ensure follow up of products in production
- Contribute to implementation of local Direct Material Engineering Changes efficiency Plan
- Contribute to implementation of local SCR improvement plan
Responsible for project assignments that could range in complexity from component level application to integration of system development from NA. Position applies project management principles to effectively accomplish goals and objectives on time and within budgetary constraints. Position requires the interface with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Outside Suppliers and customers, to provide or obtain necessary information within the scope of the project. Position will have a solid knowledge of manufacturing and assembly methodologies. Position may provide NA engineering and management some periodic status updates as required. This position will involve travel and some extended overnight stays.
Competences Education :
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required with Mechanical or Electrical Engineering being preferred
Technical Skills :
Use development/quality tools like FMEA´s, project planning tools etc
- Knowledge in mechanical component and system development and design
- Strong structured and engineering approach during each development phase
- CAE knowledge
- Knowledge of approval and environmental rules in different countries
- Experience in Design for Assembling and Manufacturing is a plus
- Project management (any certification is an advantage)
Ability to use common IT tools (e.g.: Microsoft Office)

Preferred Career Experience :
- At least 2 years experience in Product Design / Product Development or manufacturing functions
Experience of Team-working
