Job Description

The jobholder will be primarily responsible for managing the Mainland China business portfolio, operations and developing new business in the Mainland China marketplace.

At a strategic level, the incumbent will be in charge of managing and developing the commercial team that consists of different business units distinguished by brand and product lines. The experienced incumbent is expected to structure the China business plan and implement necessary strategies with available resources to deliver quality to clients and business results to the Group.

The operating environment will be heavily involved with the real estate industry and community of interior designers, construction and architecture firms. Channel development with luxury consumer brands and high-touch VIP customer relations will be part of the business activities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Ability to lead and manage a complex business infrastructure that includes three retail showroom premises in Shanghai and Beijing. Primary focus in the direction and performance management of Project Sales, Retail Sales, Service Operations, Design and Marketing objectives.
2. Leading Department heads and subject matter experts and external constituents with relevance towards securing customer goals and requirements.
3. Brand ambassador to the company’s distinctive product brands in kitchen cabinets and electrical appliances, conversing lifestyle concepts to target audience and also within the company.
4. Communicating quality, marketing and operational issues with principal brand owners in Europe, USA and updating internal stakeholders in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
5. Monitor pipeline of prospective business opportunities in Retail and Projects by priority and follow through with proposal drafting and adjustments to ensure real-time opportunities are maximized.
6. Hold a financial overview of the operations profit and loss in conjunction with Operational and Finance leaders to generate an accurate forecast of business and financial situations.
7. Mentor and develop potential managers and leaders within the company according to demonstrated capabilities.
8. Prepare and influence the annual business plan with 360 overview of internal and external market dynamics
9. Advise the CEO and key stakeholders of possible risks and opportunities

Candidate Requirements

1. Graduate from a reputed university in business administration, interior design or engineering. MBA from a good university will be ideal.
2. Demonstrated management experience of 15 years or more in a commercial and high pressured client facing environment with a multinational matrix organization will be highly valued.
3. Successful track record in managing sales and business development teams in a high turnover environment will be essential.
4. Demonstrated ability with managing multiple projects with logical process and rational mindset
5. Actual experience or familiarity with luxury consumer products or lifestyle concepts to the relevant target audience of real estate or design community
6. Established relationships and networks in the real estate, design and lifestyle community will be an advantage
7. Confident communication skills in English and Mandarin to handle domestic and international communication channels
8. Comfortable in mentoring and managing over 50 different employees in various job levels and functional responsibilities.
9. Ability to analyze and develop spreadsheets for commercial analysis and reporting among offices
10. High constitution to withstand pressure and resolve conflicts in calm and resourceful manner
