Job Description:

This position requires a senior software engineer to participate in solution architecture activities. The candidate will work at a deep technical level with Broadcom chips, switch SDK and application software, defining solution architectures in partnership with Broadcom's customers, and writing software to realize and validate the essential aspects of these solution architectures. The core activities include:

1. Architecture, design and development of software on the Broadcom SDK and switch application software systems

2. Cross-team interaction with chip architects, domestic and over-seas development teams and the customer system engineers;

3. Software development to support solution architect activities across a broad base of technologies

4. Building relationships with customers and follow-through to validate the solution architectures are sound

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have BTech with 9 years or MTech with 6 years embedded software or microcode for network processors or switch or router. Strong embedded software development and good communication skills are core requirements, specifically:

1. BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering or computer science engineering with a focus on data communication networks or a similar domain

2. Experience with software design, implementation, debugging in telecom/network industry is required

3. Experience with C programming, Linux or other embedded OS is required

4. Comfort with embedded CPU (ARM, MIPS or PPC) environments is required

5. Knowledge with Broadcom switch software is preferred

6. Knowledge with network processor and microcode programming is preferred

7. Work experience on interaction with customer is preferred;
