Job Description:
Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. As part of the Mobile Platform, Broadcom offers a family of LTE (Long Term Evolution), HSPA+, HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access), HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), TD-SCDMA (Time Division - Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.

As a manager of system test engineering, you will be responsible for people management, coordinating testing activities including the system level test plan development/enhancement, troubleshooting, optimization and problem resolution on TD-SCDMA/LTE/UMTS mobile devices. You will be working with a multi-discipline team to test and commercialize TD-SCDMA solutions. You will be actively involved in producing requirements for tools and system simulators and work closely with development teams and test equipment vendors to come up with the appropriate test set ups and associated automation. Close interaction will be required with the modem stack developers, RF, drivers, 3GPP Standard representatives and System Design Engineers to ensure test coverage and feedback on Change Requests. Successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be an effective team player and be able to work independently. The position involves in depth debugging of TD-SCDMA protocol stack. Exposure to TD-SCDMA and GSM test simulators and test systems like Starpoint, Anite, R&S, Spirent, Anritsu and Agilent is a plus. Experience with LTE and/or HSPA+ is preferred.


Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 9 years of related experience or PhD in Electrical engineering and 6 years of related experience
Strong Knowledge and solid experience in TD-SCDMA is required. Past experience with Certification, IOT and Field Test is helpful
Good understanding of LTE, HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and GSM /GPRS protocol stacks will be important.
Should have good oral and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
Exposure to Wireless/analog/digital/data communications, RF propagation, antennas is needed.
programming experience in TTCN, C or C++ is a plus
