Job Description:
Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies. Broadcom offers a family of LTE (Long Term Evolution), HSPA+ (High-Speed Packet Access), WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution), GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) baseband processors for use in cellular handsets, PC cards and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and validating cellular Baseband systems including the following:
? Development and testing of cellular BB reference designs
? BB system integration with RF
? Design and develop BB system integration tests
? Support applications engineering and customer designs
In this role, you will work closely with the BB IC design team as well as other design groups across a variety of products and technologies within the company

Job Requirements:
? BSEE and 6+ years of experience OR MSEE preferred and 3+ years of related experience.
? 3-6+ years of experience in BB systems design, integration and test for cellular communication systems.
? Strong understanding of wireless standards (GSM, GPRS, EGPRS and WCDMA) is essential
. Knowledge of HSDPA/HSUPA is a plus.
? Must have experience designing handsets for volume production.
? Must have hands-on experience with design, integration, test and debug of BB functions ofcellular phone.
? Must have hands-on experience with GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA test systems and test methodology.
? Must be a self-starter and be able to work closely with functional groups throughout the company and at the customer.
