job description
1.Purchase materials based on engineering needs and production schedules
2.Push supplier and expedite for urgent delivery, by priority
3. Handle other exception cases from plan/schedule change, such as pushing out and cancellation
4. Confirm with suppliers for delivery date, maintain in system and communicate with others
5. Track each purchase order line’s progress until materials delivered to receiving plant
6. Coordinate any dock problems during the process of material receiving at plant warehouse
7. Arrange parts return in case of quality issue
8.Solve quantity inconsistency among purchase order, actual receipt and invoice
9.Analyze and identify root cause of material delivery which is not in compliance with customer needs, develop solution proposal and lead improvement activities
10. Manage and minimize slow moving, excess and obsolete inventory by coordinating with others
11. Develop critical parts’ supply strategy to balance delivery performance and obsolescence risk
12.Handle other tasks relating to material planning and inventory management
13. Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures, appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws, policies and procedures include but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network
Job requirements
1.Diploma in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent knowledge in the area of material management & Procurement
2.Minimum 3 years of material planning and/or purchasing experience, preferably in the manufacturing environment of lower volume and high mix
3. Experience in project management and sourcing preferred
4. APICS certificate (CPIM, CRIM, CSCP) preferred
5.Experience and knowledge in ERP system, SAP preferred, MFG, Oracle, JDE, Bann 4 acceptable
6.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
7.Good command of English, speak and write
8. Problem solving skill and teamwork spirit required
