Description
The OSS Solution Integrator performs configuration and integration of nodes and solutions in the Operation Support System. The solutions can be integrated in the customer's existing or new network organization or processes. The OSS Solution Integrator ensures that the integration is performed as planned and verifies that the solution is working as Ericsson and the customer have agreed.
Solutions Integrator shall actually implement & integrate the SI solution as specified in the detailed solution design document from Solution Architect to meet the customer requirements.
Solutions Integrator needs to have drilled knowledge in specific solution areas and should be open to cross-train themselves in other solution areas. They need to understand customer requirements and implement the solution.
He should be able to identify scope creep and inform the Solution Architect and/or the Project Manager.
This role demands positive mind-set, hands on delivery experience, solution understanding and ability to quickly adapt / learn new solutions delivery. Also please refer to FR - SI Solutions Integrator
Qualifications
Responsibilities
The OSS Solution Integrator shall have roles and responsibilities to:
- Prepare/perform pre-configuration and pre-integration site check according to installed hardware and system requirements to ensure that all equipments are ready for integration.
- Prepare/perform network configuration and integration test for new and expanded OSS elements.
- Prepare/perform changing, upgrading, or replacement of hardware and/or software of OSS elements.
- Prepare/perform OSS system demonstration and/or acceptance as required.
- Prepare/perform interoperability test/verification of OSS elements.
- Ensure OSS equipments are fully tested, including required functions and/or features.
- Ensure OSS nodes are ready for traffic.
- Ensure and control progress of assigned project according to project plan, including escalation in case of delay.
- Gather all the required and valid tools, methods and processes, following recommendations/guidelines for delivery process where possible.
- Prepare and perform a technical hand-over to the support organization/customers.
- Produce documentation such as list of test cases, test instruction, Method of Procedure (MOP), test progress and report.
- Properly handle customer requests.
- Prepare/perform implementation and activation of new features.
- Perform troubleshooting and ensure that problems and/or outstanding issues are properly handled.
- Be a point of technical coordination escalation for on-site problems and issues. Give technical support to ASPs when needed.
- Play as a team leader when required.
- Support/Coach lower level engineer.
- Support the NRO personnel and ASPs in transferring technical knowledge and skills.
- Work effectively in teams from other SI, ELS & GSDC resources.
- Proactive competence development of self in new solution areas & certification.
- Ensure strict SI delivery as per contracted scope with proper change management.
Qualification
1 Education
Bachelor degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or Computer science
2 Experience
Having at least 3 years of experience in telecommunications, preferably with telecom management and systems integration background
Competencies
1 Professional/Technical Competence
Excellent knowledge on OSS-RC and ENIQ solution area
Knowledge on other vendor's Fault Mgmt, Performance Mgmt, and Configuration Mgmt solution will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge on Network Management and Service Assurance Solutions (Fault Management, Performance Management, Configuration Management, Inventory Management, Service Quality Management, etc.)
Good developed skill on GSM, WCDMA and LTE node Integration
Good developed skill on IP networking
2 Business Competence
- Having Ericsson Business process knowledge will be an advantage
- Good ability in using English language (written & oral communication)
3 Human Competence
- Good interpersonal skill and able to work as a team
- Good consultative skill
- Good Problem Solving & Decision Making skill
- Able to work under pressure, good stress tolerance
