We are an Asia buying office of a leading French Retailing Group in Hong Kong. To cope with our business strategy and presently is looking for talented candidate to fill in the following position:

Environmental Health & Safety Officer

Key Responsibility:

· Plan, schedule and conduct EHS audits/assessments (Shadow audit when needed) in accordance with the EHS department in local

· Review all vendors and factories set up documentation regarding EHS compliance

· Follow up and monitor all vendors and factories remediation works on non-conformities; and manage problem solving processes

· Perform EHS training workshops for all vendors and factories

· Conduct gap analysis and assessments to identify potential improvements in existing systems.

· Works with the various local business partners/manufacturers & suppliers to establish contingency plans that address potential emergencies including hazardous material spills, fires, evacuations, labor interruption and other potential business interruptions

· Complete incident investigation and analysis; regularly perform site hazard assessments and workplace ergonomic analysis

· Train Supervisory personnel in EHS requirements and accountability to eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses and financial loss at the same time promotes EHS awareness among leadership team and employees

· Plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local environment, health and safety regulations

· Ensures environmental policy and procedure manuals are keeping up to date

· Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization

· Interface with local regulatory authorities in all platforms

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in the Safety, Health or Environment studies or related field

· Experience with local regulations in Asia; past working experience in Asia is a plus

· Excellent in written and spoken English

· Must have a strong working knowledge of operational and technical issues and concepts, and an understanding of the associated EHS requirements in Asia

· High level of interaction with various functions and the ability to convey ideas and knowledge verbally and through documentation

· Strong leadership, decision making and analytical skills with presentable and persuasive manner
