Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:
- Commodity management of PCBAs and electronic components
- Project management of Localizations and Technology Transfers associated with global electronics projects in China.
- Contract/procurement management associated with localized global electronic products.
Liaison between the China locations of strategic global electrical suppliers, Otis China based customers, and WHQ SCM.
Management of daily procurement issues between supplier and Otis
Evaluation and support of suppliers cost reduction efforts
Oversight to ensure streamlined order and logistics processing
- Product and supplier development associated with electronic products
Development of supplier
Qualifaction of suppliers and components
Assessment and implementation of enhanced supplier manufacturing processes
Facilitation of supplier-audits including implementation of improvement actions
- Supplier Monitoring

Work experience & skills requirements:
- 5+ years experience of puchasing and interaction with Chinese suppliers
- 5+ years experience in electronics manufacturing processes (PCBA) and component
- 3+ years of technical experience in electrical/electronics engineering
- 3+ years of experience in global project teams
- Good communication skills (verbal, presentations, etc.)
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Highly flexible, motivated proven team player

Educational Requirements
- BA/BS degree w/7+ years experience
- MA/MS degree w/5+ years experience

Additional comments (i.e. travel, overtime, etc.- if travel, include % of time )
- Global/domestic travel on a frequent and regular basis is expected (30-40%)

Critical impact of this position on this business
- Close management of global electronics suppliers in China, especially for PCBAs and VF-Drives that are common around the Otis-world, is required to ensure fast start-up of transferred product with uncompromised quality levels, protection of IP and continuously competitive cost levels.
- Having a local interface with quick response times to customer/Otis issues, will also support acceptancre and continued pull from the primary customer, Otis China, which in return will drive volume levels and resulting leverage opportunities
