American Lane Inc. is looking for an agent to liaise with our Chinese manufacturers. The position requires an organized, experienced worker with great communication skills in English and Chinese. Experience with sourcing and quality control is necessary. Home textiles experience is a plus.
Required skills:
-Fluency in English and Chinese
-Excellent spoken and written communication skills
-Ability to communicate effectively via email and phone in a timely manner
-Experience with sourcing and manufacturer relations
-Ability to perform on-site inspections of manufacturing facilities in Zhejiang, Henan, Shandong, and Jiangsu provinces
Additional skills:
-Knowledge of the home textiles industry
-Existing relationships with Chinese mills
A successful agent will be a friendly, communicative person with the ability to solve problems independently and with the support of American Lane’s management staff.
Compensation
Agent will be compensated at a competitive market rate. This is currently a part time position that will increase in responsibility with the demonstrated effectiveness of the agent. Full time employment in the future is a likely possibility.
